Repair- and Replacement- Service for Visatron Oil Mist Detectors

Schaller Automation offers repair and replacement of complete OMDs, Measuring Heads,
and Valveboxes (VN116/ and VN215/ only). There is a number of them reconditioned in stock
for Replacement- Service.

Please note: Electronic- Module (E-Module, PCB) is no longer available as separate

sparepart due to technical reasons, only Measuring Heads will be delivered / returned
instead.

You will get an order acknowledgement, approving the receipt and further handling. It will be
evaluated, and a quotation will be issued. With Your Purchase order, it will be repaired,
tested and returned.

for replacement:
You purchase a replacement unit (complete OMD, Measuring Unit, Valvebox) for immediate
shipment. It is installed on site (we can provide this service through our Service- Partner
network, if wanted), and You return the defective unit to our workshop for repair and
restocking (same adress as above, please refer to the Replacement- Order No. and / or
Invoice No.).
Schaller issues an order for the replacement unit. This will be cancelled / credited, if the
defective part is sent to Schaller within 2 months after shipment of replacement. If it is
repairable, a repair order is issued,and only the repair price will be invoiced.

Some additional information:

If only an Electronic- Module (E-Module, PCB) is returned, it will be completed by a
new housing automatically (price-adder!), and a complete Measuring Head is
returned.
If only a housing is returned, it will be completed by a new E-Module automatically
(price-adder!), and a complete Measuring Head is returned.

Before sending out the replacement part, it would be good to know the value of the wire
break resistors in the existing Measuring Head (Standard = 33 kOhm), so the unit can be
prepared accordingly before leaving. Otherwise the resistors must be changed over from the
defective to the reconditioned Measuring Head on site.
