EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

There has been a substantial raise in the consumption of liquefied petroleum gas(LPG) in the
past years. The LPG consumption in Cameroon rose from 3,070 metric tons in 1976 to 41,926
metric tons in 2004, which reflects the strongest growth rate of all petroleum products in the
country. Almost all of that volume, 93% to be exact is used in the households, while the balance
of 7% is used as commercial and industrial fuel. A variety of cooking devices are used which
make use of this cooking gas, ranging from simple gas plates to stoves with ovens. Although
competition in the liquefied petroleum (LP) cooking gas business has increased over the past few
years in Cameroon due to other suppliers like Bocom gas, SCTM gas suppliers which have been
so reliable. With our effective marketing and supply strategies, building close client relationship
as well as providing complementary services, the newly established LP gas retailer like FLIMaF
Domestic gas supply ltd can still be profitable and assured of recovering its entire investment.

BUSINESS DESCRIPTION.

FLIMaF Domestic Gas supply ltd will be a newly-established LP gas distributor/retailer in the
Tubah district (Bambili) of the north west region in Cameroon to cater the booming cooking gas
demand.

FLIMaF Domestic gas supply ltd will be duly registered and will obtain a trade license to operate
as a cooking gas distributer/retailer in Cameroon. This business will be equipped with a strong
team with both technical and business background in managing all aspects of a cooking gas
business: organizing, financing, marketing, advertising products and services and solving
technical and organizational problems. With underlying objectives of this business will be as
follows:

 To be known as a top quality, safe and reliable cooking gas delivery service provider in
the North west region and Cameroon at large.
 To achieve and preserve a high gross profit margin
 To expand to other location within the country after three years of service in the North
West Region.
 To achieve 25% of the market’s share within the first three years.

This segment has to do with our products/services we will be offering, the population (is it in the
rural or urban areas or internationally) that consumes these products and the market competition.

Products and Service:

 Cooking gas in 3kg, 6kg, 9kg, 12kg and many other volumes.
 Cooking gas cylinders of various sizes, colour and design.
 Cookers and fittings such as pipes and gauges
 Home delivery of products and services.

Customers /Clients:

FLIMaF Domestic gas supply Limited will deliver cooking gas to households in Bamenda,
student residence(cite) around the university of Bamend, industrial and commercial customers in
Bamenda and will expand to other cities of the country after three years of services.

FLIMaF Domestic gas supply Limited will have both direct and indirect competitors but our
competitive advantage is that majority of the population will choose cooking gas rather than buy
firewood or charcoal and there are more customers to go about with.
