Facility: Kalaekule Field

Statement of Fitness is a necessary part of starting up any new facility or existing facility post
modification or upgrade. The items contained in the Statement of Fitness are not new, but the Statement
of Fitness provides a structure for formal sign off & therefore increases their visibility and accountability.
Its aim is to verify & confirm that:
a. Process safety risks have been identified and documented and are managed to ALARP.
b. Employees or contractors executing HSSE Critical Activities are competent and fit to work.
c. HSSE Critical Equipment meets its Technical Integrity requirements.
d. Design and construction of the facility meet the design and engineering requirements.
e. Procedures are in place to operate Kalaekule facility and HSSE Critical Equipment within its
Operational Limits.
f. Safety Critical Equipment (SCEs), SCE related Performance Standards (PSs) acceptance criteria
and Maintenance / Inspection Routines are identified.

The facility therefore meets the criteria necessary to introduce hydrocarbons.
