The most important part of your project is to create a Network design diagram that is

fully reflecting the network of your studied site. (Note: in the diagram please be clear
mention the box name and number plus the building that the box is belonging to. If the
figure is too big, try to split the figure into separate multiple detailed figures of the
original and general big picture.)

You maybe need to be aware of the following (Collect the following info from the
network administrator):

1. What type of network the site has? What technology it uses, e.g.: PON, MPLS,
Ethernet,..,etc?

2. What type of security they apply and what protect the site's network?

3. What IP-addressing system is used?

4. What are the services or servers’ applications that the network provides?

5. What is the general design and distribution of the physical building and number of
users in each building?

6. What are the network equipment used in the network?

7. Describe the LAN and WAN of the site.

8. Is new technologies such as cloud computing and storage are used in the site
network?

9. Discuss the network architecture and give your opinion based on your knowledge
in network then analyze the enhancements and solutions to improve the network.

The more information you collect from the site, the more confidence you will be in your
presentation and report which gives you better grade.
