Required materials and tools for the chick:

1. Yarn:
Alize Cotton Gold (100gr/330mt) - 110 yellow
YarnArt JEANS (50gr/160mt) – 77 orange
YarnArt JEANS (50gr/160mt) – 01 white
Alize Cotton Gold Tweed (100gr/330mt) – 62 milky
You can use analogues that are suitable in size and color.
2. Filler (I have fiberfill)
3. Hook – 2,5 Clover
4. Eyes d-7mm
5. Splint 5,0*40mm and disc d-25mm (I additionally use metal washers
d-12mm)
6. Wire d-2mm 9,5cm
7. Strong cotton thread for sewing the details
8. Scissors
9. Needle for sewing the details
10. Dry pastel for the toning
From the above materials, the size of the toy will be 13
cm. I use mixed crocheting method.

mr – magic ring
ch – chain
sc – single crochet
hdc - half double crochet
dc – double crochet
tr – treble crochet
puff – puff stitch (tr3tog cluster)
dec – decrease (2sc together)
inc – increase (2sc in same stitch)
Triple inc – 3 stitches in same stitch cluster
Triple dec – 3 stitches together cluster
(…) – amount of stitches in the row
FLO – front loops only (front thread of the loop)
BLO - back loops only (back thread of the loop)

I use mixed crocheting method. The thread is caught

under the hook in this method, and the pattern of the canvas
reminds crosses. The canvas turns out to be tighter and the
offset of the loops is less considerable.

Legs:
Crochet two identical details with orange yarn, fill the
legs not tightly (you can not fill it).

Crochet three identical details, cut off the thread from
two details. Don’t cut off the thread from the 3rd detail,
continue crocheting:
4. 3sc on the first detail, attach the second detail and
crochet 3sc on it, attach the third detail and crochet
6sc on it, 3sc on the second detail, 3sc on the first
detail (18) – place the marker.

Secure and hide the thread ends.
Mark 6 stitches on the leg in a circle.
Attach the thread to the leg and
crochet 6sc on the marked stitches.
Crochet more 3 rows from 6 sc. Cut off
the thread, leave the long thread end
for sewing. Fill the upper part of the leg.

Beak:
Crochet with orange yarn. Don’t fill the detail.

Assembly:

Pin the legs to the body so that the chick could seat. Sew
on it. Pin the wings on the sides, sew on it with thread
attachment.

The eyes are located between the rows 13-14, the

distance between the eyes is 8-9 stitches. Sew on the
eyes, embroider the eyes whites with white yarn. Pin the
beak to the head between the rows 13-17. Sew on it.
Blush the cheeks with dry pastel.

Camomile:
Crochet with white and yellow yarn. Start with yellow
yarn.
1. 8sc in mr
Change the yarn to the white, cut off the yellow
thread.
2. (2ch, 1dc in the same stitch, 2ch, 1sl st)*8
It will be 8 white petals on the flower. I crocheted two
camomiles, you can crochet any flowers.
Crochet 70ch and sew on the flowers. Put it to the
chick`s neck.

Headband:
Crochet the ears with light yarn, I have milky Alize
Cotton Gold Tweed. Crochet two identical details. Prepare
the basis: Twist the ends of the wire into small loops and

bend it into an arc over the chick's head. Next, attach the
thread to the edge of the wire and crochet it with sc along
the entire length. Tie the ends of the thread neatly in knots
into the edges of the wire loops.

Cut off the thread, leave the long thread end for sewing.
Sew on the ears to the basis of the headband. You can sew
them in the centre or on the side, as well as place at a
distance and place on the sides. I decorate the ears with
camomile and blush the centre of each ear with pink pastel.
Put the headband to the head of the chick.
