The previous hired casual commenced on 4th August – 14th August 2023.
The above mentioned subjects were performing the following activities at kaitese tree Nursery as
directed by Dpt director, Mrs Pauline Ngoli
The aim of the mentioned subjects was to improve level standard or upgrade the status of Kaitese Tree
Nursery for short term objective achievement.
The below activities was carried out or initiated
1) Production (Seedlings)
- Soil preparation depending on appropriate ratio (manure + sand soil + H2O)
- Cutting and pot filling
- Preparing sunken bends and collecting and arranging the potted tubes
2) Preparing the ground leveling and collection of rubbish and burning to ashes.
3) Pruning of grown-up indigenous tree species around the compound.
4) Cleaning tree nursery structures like e.g. store office, latrine and potting shade etc.
5) Conserving grown-up trees by digging and making semi-circular bands for water retention.
6) Performing other task assigned assignment directed by station in charge officer.
