WHAT IS A FUTURE TIME
CLAUSE?
When we want to talk about two
actions or events in the future,
we use the future time clauses.
We can place it at the beginning
(THE FIRST PART) or in the
middle of our sentence (THE
SECOND PART)

01 WHEN = CUANDO
I'll call you when we finish
05 AS SOON AS = EN CUANTO / TAN
PRONTO COMO
I'll call you as soon as i'm finished
WHILE = MIENTRAS

EXAMPLES
I'll eat dinner (independent clause) when I finish my homework. (dependent clause)
I'll eat breakfast (independent clause) before I take a shower (dependent clause)
In these examples, the dependent clauses follow the independent clauses. However, you can
start a sentence with a dependent clause as long as you separate it from the independent (or
main) clause with a comma, as in the examples below.
