LISTENING AND SPEAKING B2

I. Required material
Bonesteel, L. (2017). 21st century communication 3: Listening, speaking, and critical thinking.
Boston: Cengage Learning.
II. Course length: 15 weeks, 60 periods
III. Course learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:
1. demonstrate listening skills to understand spokentexts at B2 level.
2. demonstrate speaking skills to produce spoken texts at B2 level.
3. demonstrate acquired language and skills to generate individual and interactive discussions about
topics covered in the textbook.
IV. Policies:
1. Punctuality: Students are supposed to come to class on time (6 p.m. sharp).
2. Food & Drink: Eating is not allowed in class.
3. Cell phone Uses: Cell phones must be turned off or switched to silent mode.
4. Attendance: Students who are absent in more than 3 sessions are not elligible to take the final exam.

Students who fail to take the final exams on one sub-skill (either Listening or Speaking) will not be qualified
to pass this course.
