Critical concerns for Design


 Delay in completion of Topo survey and Geotechnical Investigation by 6 Month due to non-availability of access to the bridge
locations.
 Delay in providing the data for parallel structures (parallel to IR Structures) like HFL, IR Completion plan, IR Bridge register, Spanning
Configuration, discharge, dimensions of existing IR bridges, etc., the complete design inputs were received after 1 year
 Delay in handing over the land to the Contractor by 8 month and Last 2km handed over on Oct 2019
 Delay in finalization of spanning arrangement for structures (structures proposed by Client in their documents are not considering
the requirements of concern authorities like IR/NHAI/SH/PWD/WRD/IOCL/etc.,)
 Frequent change in the span configuration and type superstructures by authority after approval as resulted in delay
 Delay in finalization of alignment which was due to issues in topo survey details and also due to changes in the bridge configuration
as per the concern authority’s requirements.
 Introduction of new (additional) structures (117 Nos.) in the Contractor’s Scope of work during the detail design stage. This is due to
the reason that feasibility study carried out by Client/PMC are not dually considering the Concern Authority’s requirements.
 Delay due to unreasonable requirements/demands by the PMC/Client.
 Delay due to non-adherence of approved drawings at site for construction.
 Delay due to submission by the Detailed Design Consultant.
