STEPS FOR IELTS REGISTRATION

1. Determine Your Test Type: Decide whether you need to take the IELTS Academic or IELTS General
Training test. The Academic test is typically for those applying to study at undergraduate or postgraduate
levels, while the General Training test is usually for those migrating to an English-speaking country for work
or training purposes.

2. Find a Test Center: Visit the official IELTS website (www.ielts.org) and use the "Find a test location" tool
or click here: https://ieltsregistration.britishcouncil.org/ors/book-test to locate the nearest test center to
you. Ensure the test center offers the type of test (Academic or General Training) you require.

3. Check Test Dates: Once you've found a suitable test center, check the available test dates. Keep in
mind that popular dates may fill up quickly, so it's advisable to register well in advance.

4. Create an Account: If you're registering online, you'll need to create an account on the official IELTS
website. Provide the required personal information accurately.

5. Complete the Registration Form: Log in to your account and fill out the registration form. You'll need to
provide personal details such as your name, date of birth, contact information, and passport or national ID
number. Make sure all information is correct as it appears on your identification document.

6. Select Test Type and Module: Choose whether you're taking the IELTS Academic or General Training
test. Additionally, select the module you need to take (Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking) if
applicable.

7. Choose Test Date and Location: Select your preferred test date and location from the available options
at your chosen test center. Ensure the date and location are convenient for you.

8. Upload Identification Document: Upload a clear, scanned copy of your valid passport or national ID
card. This document will be used to verify your identity on the test day.

9. Pay the Test Fee: Pay the applicable test fee using the available payment methods. The fee may vary
depending on your location and the test center.

10. Receive Confirmation: Once you've successfully registered and paid the test fee, you'll receive a
confirmation email containing your test date, location, and other relevant details. Keep this email for
reference.

11. Prepare for the Exam: Begin your preparation for the IELTS exam by familiarizing yourself with the test
format, practicing sample questions, and improving your English language skills in the areas of listening,
reading, writing, and speaking.

12. Attend the Test: On the day of the exam, arrive at the test center on time with your original
identification document (passport or national ID card) that matches the one you uploaded during
registration. Follow the instructions provided by the test center staff and complete all test components as
required.

By following these steps, you should be able to register for the IELTS exam successfully. Good luck with
your preparation and exam!
