Objectives:
1. To develop an understanding of the foundation and framework of the Constitution of
India
2. To develop an in-depth understanding of the Fundamental Rights framework under the
Constitution of India.
3. To gain insight into the evolution of the Fundamental Rights and duties under the
Constitution of India.
Outcomes:
The student will be able to appreciate and understand –
1. To develop an understanding of the statutory provisions regarding the Fundamental
Rights and duties under the Constitution of India (PLO 1a, PLO 1b & PLO6a, PLO 6b)
2. To acquire the ability to interpret various provisions pertaining to Fundamental Rights
andtheir evolution by the Judiciary (PLO 2a and PLO 2b)
3. To acquire the understanding and analyzing multiple intricacies involved in the
Fundamental Right Jurisprudence and apply them to contemporary issues. (PLO 3a &
PLO 4a)
4. Assess the role of the judiciary in upholding the principles of the Constitution and
ensuring justice and equity (PLO 5 a)
