EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
1. Business Description

This business will operate under the name AKUOL Women Boutique which will

be located at Giriama Trader neat Kilifi Road at Kaloleni. The business will be

operated as a sole proprietor by AKUOL NYOL PAGUOT as the proprietor. The

business address will be P.O Box 264 Kaloleni and will use owners’ number

0102623660 for communication and other in formations. It will be opened on 20th

December 2027. The main activity will be selling of various types of women

clothes.

2. Marketing Plan

The potential of the business will be that of advertising through internet.

Customers will be obtaining information on a business.

3. Organisational and Management Plan

The business will be managed by various personnel, in their respectively sections.

The owner will be the general Manager assisted by the Deputy General Manager

who will give solutions in the absence of the general Manager. All the accounts

will be under the cashier who will control credit, keeps books of account receive

payment and information on behalf of the business.

4. Operational Plan

The business will need mask aprons, e.t.c. The business will require updated

clothes from Dubai which also provides the transport services. The shop will be

rented at the cost of Khs.4000 per month.


5. Financial Plan

The women boutique will need (350,000) Three Hundred and Fifty Thousand to

get the business off the ground. The owner will raise 150,000 and the remaining

200,000 will be borrowed from the Cooperative Bank.

The business will be operated and managed by AKUOL NYOL PAGUOT who is

currently taking Diploma in banking and finance.

Involvement of the Business


The business will be involved in selling of different women clothes according to

quality and quantity. This includes erotic, Vibrant, Sexy, Girly, Sporty and many

others. It will be done to satisfy customers allowing expansion of the business in

future.

1.2Nature of the Business


The business will run under sole proprietorship at the start up stage due to the

following:

 A sole proprietor has complete control and decision making power over

the business.

 Few formal business requirements

The business will operate under the name jetmac Women Clothing Boutique. At

the start up stage it will have one branch, more branches will be opened after two

years of the business.

The business will commence its operation in the year 2027 December 20th due to the

following reasons:

 The owner would have completed her course and would not like to stay idle with her

entrepreneur skills

 The owner would acquire essential legal documents like license

Classic Boutique will offer different types of clothes like sexy, erotic, sporty and many

others. The personality style assessment helps one to choose on what clothing works well for

her style personality like engaging, romantic and modern. At the cash wrap area there will be

a bulletin board that is frequently updated and that lists and displays the following details:

 How to wear

 Coming soon

 Services- lists all the additional style services that offers

The style attendant will be available to assist customers with their style assessment, special

orders and personal shopping. A customer can simply call to set up an appointment and there

will be someone there to greet and assist her beyond normal business hours.

use for themselves. Our mission is to make every woman to look classic and feel beautiful.

According to research, the competitors take 60% of the date in total market area. Jetmac

clothes women boutique has only 50% at the start-up but has a vision to increase its market

share up to 75%

This will be done purpose to create awareness to the customers of the new classic clothes .It

This will be done by being direct in contact with customers and convincing them

that there is best and classic clothes in term of qualities and

Training will familiarise the workers with the job. It will enable them to:

 The employees will be allowed to attend seminars for more skills.

Any employee working hard toward the success of the business shall be awarded or promoted

depending on how good the work was done. There will also be a party for the rewarding

Through this the business will be allowed to operate within the town centre .It will be

obtained at Kenya Revenue Authority licensing office at Mariakani Royal Supermarket.

The business shall use the following bi-laws during its operation

The business shall rely on the following supportive services for its successful operations:

i) Banking

The business shall bank its money with Cooperativebank in Mariakani. This will provide

security of the business money and its earns some interest.

ii) Advertising

Since it is a start up business, it will use internet in advertising. As the business expands, it

will be advertising through radios and television.

iii) Insurance

When the business will have grown abet, it will insure its premises and assets and other

equipment against fire and theft risk. This will give the business security and hope of

continuity in case of break of this risk. The business will insure with Madison insurance of

Mombasa in TSS building. The insurance goes for ksh. 50000 per year

iv) Electricity

Electricity will be supplied by the Kenya Power Authority. The bill will be paid per month

through Kaloleni water branches.

v) Water

The Kaloleni water shall cater for water supply in the premises. The bill shall be paid per
