Major Role and Responsibilities

 Organized Preparation and maintain accounts and records of the financial flow in
line with set guidelines and FM manual.
 Follow-up adherence to program financial management guidelines at implementing
bodies and local authorities/ Woreda / levels.
 Oversee and reconcile all accounting operations, including accounts payable,
receivable, taxes, payroll, and fixed assets.
 Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) in
accordance with IFRS and country regulations.
 Implement and maintain effective internal controls and ensure compliance with
financial policies.
 Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, providing accurate and timely
insights.
 Ensure punctual and accurate tax filings.
 Conduct variance analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities.
 Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work
environment.
 Liaise with external auditors and ensure smooth completion of audits.
 Ensure that accurate and timely accounts are on regularly basis in accordance with
company and country financial policies and procedures.
 Responsible for implementing and monitoring of internal controls in order to ensure
consistency of financial policies .
 Analyze company performance and results, prepare monthly standard financial
analysis;
 According to financial planning; Explaining the variances, and conducting data
analysis;
 To follow/analyze financial processes based on company performance indicators;
 Analyze the actual financial results and compare them with the budget, revised
forecasts and previous years; Ensuring that deviations from the budget and
estimated financial statements are explained in the management reports, and
pointing out the possible risks and opportunities that the company may be exposed
to in the future in the senior management reports;
 Coordinate financial matters with third parties like banks, vendors and tax authorities
 Developed to review monthly accounts variance analysis, and highlight key
weakness and recommend for improvement.
 Reports and narration on Discussing on budget utilization and Variance Analysis
 Explanation on balance sheet items and especially advances/receivables and cash
at hand at woreda,

 Any other duties assigned by supervisor.

Major Achievements
 Reduction of audit finding from qualified to unqualified for different periods
 Analyzed the cost variance analysis and its impact and hence, Improved budget and
fund utilization performance from 90% to 97%.
 Planned quarterly and annulal report to minstry of finance and world bank group on
timely and this enhance the released of funds from world bank by 15%.
 Developed the E-payment system for 22,101 beneficiaries of the program and
reduced the cost of transportation, time and efficiency by 23%.
 Meeting the timeliness of financial reporting to donors group as reuired by rule and
financial manuals. These result in released of fund early days following the report
period
 Examined the impact of training given by organization and its effectiveness ,result in
enhancing the awareness of accountant, finance managers and budget controllers
by 20%. This also reduce the affect of turnover and cost of hiring new employees
by 15%.
 Compiled and prepared financial reports, aiding in more informed decision-making.
