Hi Jay,
That’s a really great idea! I think lots of people will enjoy reading your blog. If you want some advice, I think you should
ask my cousin, Matt. He knows all about setting up blogs because he already writes one.
About what to write, I think that everyone is interested in keeping fit and healthy, so a regular section about having a
healthy diet would be the best in my opinion.
I have lots of ideas for other things you could do. What about putting video clips of different exercises on your blog?

PART 2
2 (sample answer)

In my country, many people cook special meals at Christmas. Although every family has their traditions, some things
are more common. For example, people generally have turkey with various vegetables. It depends on what each family
likes best really. People also enjoy making and eating mince pies, which are actually sweet, although they sound like
they’d be savoury.
Because everyone is so busy now, many people eat takeaways or ready meals. Perhaps that’s a shame, but it means
when we get the chance to eat something homemade together it feels really special!

3 (sample answer)

I checked the text message, picked up my bag and left. I managed to jump on the bus into town just as it was leaving.
The message I’d received was from my friend Jo, who had found out that our favourite band were coming to play a
secret concert in town! There were only a few tickets available, so we had to be quick.
I arrived in town and ran to the concert hall, where Jo was already waiting for me in the queue of people hoping to get
tickets. The ticket office opened, and eventually we reached the front of the queue. I was glad I’d caught that bus – we
got the last tickets to an incredible show!
