will come on facia & if the condition persists then the speed ref will come automatically
at 600 rpm. If any difficulty is faced during the speeding the turbine from 600 rpm to
3000 rpm trip the turbine & again roll it at 600 rpm and call your senior.
26) Check SGC of oil sequence-It should be in auto &ON .Open gate valve gearing valve if it
is in dosed condition.
27) SGC of turbine should be made off& take in OG mode from the semi auto mode after
achieving the step#117.
28) Ask the electrical engineer to close the isolator
29) After fulfilling the X7 curve take oil guns in CD elevation (at least three no.).Raise the
L 2
drum pressure >40Kg/Cm ,HRH pressure=5.0 Kg/Cm , open HP bypass u p to 20% & put
lP bypass on auto.
30) Be ready for synchronization& set EHTC page like Load ref=20MW. PR max=30MW,
Pressure controller should be in IP mode. Pressure set point=minimum to prevent the
m/c to come in pressure control mode.
31) During running the machine at low load «50MW) be careful for the ratio between Main
steam pressure & HRH pressure, it should be always >5.0therwise, HP/IP trim device
will operate. So , if drum pressure falls decrease load by giving lowering command to

load ref slowly by 1 or 2 MW and increase the oil pressure slowly by 0.5 Kg/Cm •

32} As soon as IP shaft temp increases beyond 300°C & HP casing middle increases beyond
250°C. run only one PA Fan. Try to Cut in CM AB with itA" elevation.
33) Just after starting the Coal mill open the manual isolating valves of super heater spray
line.

35) 'Charge the Super heater spray slightly around 10 TPH and maintain de-super heater
temp around 320°C so that main steam temp maintains within 490°C.
36) Try to keep MST constant & maximize the M/c load up to the available margin.

37) After reaching HP casing temp (middle»300oC cut in 2 elevation and slowly increase
the load up to the available margin.
38) After reaching HP casing temp (middle»380°C cut in 3rd elevation and slowly increase
the load up to the available margin.
39) Put HP heaters in serVice & reduce oil support.
40) After reaching HP casing temp (middle»450oC cut in 4th elevation.
41) Close the manual isolating (BD isolating.) valve of HP bypass spray.
