157 new nursing colleges in co-location

in India.
 Co-location of nursing colleges with
existing medical colleges will allow

Currently, 26 projects worth Rs 1206 crore
have been sanctioned under this scheme,
with an investment of Rs 714 crore.
National Medical Devices Policy: Salient
Features
 So far, 37 products have been
manufactured in 14 projects, and high-end
medical equipment like linear accelerators,
MRI scans, mammograms, CT scans, C-
arms, high-end X-ray tubes, MRI coils, etc.
are manufactured in the country. The
remaining 12 products will also be
manufactured soon.
 Recently, five projects have been
sanctioned under category B for the
domestic production of 87 products or
product components under the National
Medical Device Policy.
 To maximise the growth and potential in the
sector, a comprehensive policy framework
is urgently needed.
 Despite initiatives by various government
departments to promote the medical device
sector, a coordinated approach is currently
lacking.
 Therefore, regulations, skills, and trade
promotion for the medical device industry
should be integrated in a coherent manner
to enable focused and efficient support
from authorities.

other's weapons, battle tactics, equipment,
battle strategies, and procedures to
conduct joint military operations under
difficult conditions.

are thrilled after the discovery of a camera-
trapped tiger in the Kalesar National Park in
Haryana's Yamunanagar district. This rare
event, after more than a century, has made
the state proud. Haryana Forest and Wildlife
Minister Kanwar Pal shared two pictures of
the tiger, saying it was spotted in the
Kalesar region for the first time since 1913.
 The minister, who is also an MLA from
Jagadhri constituency, emphasized the
significance of preserving our natural
heritage by making collaborative efforts to
safeguard forests and wildlife.
 A camera trap in the park captured images
of a tiger on both April 18 and April 19.
 According to Panchkula Chief Conservator
of Forests (Wildlife) ML Rajvanshi, to
determine more information about the
animal, a team has been assembled to
follow its pugmarks and check its age, sex,
and other details.
 Additional Chief Secretary of Forests and
Wildlife (ACS) Vineet Garg suggested that
the tiger probably came from Rajaji National
Park in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, and made
its way to Kalasar.

and programmes for its visitors, including a
