NARRATIVE REPORT
on
CAREER GUIDANCE CELEBRATION 2023

With the aim of guiding secondary level students in choosing career tracks that they intend to pursue
through informed career choices towards becoming productive and contributing individuals as stated in RA
10533 otherwise known as the Basic Education Act of 2013, The Department of Education (DepEd) implements
the Career Guidance Program for School Year 2022-2023. The goal of this program is to empower students to
consider their options and to reach reasonable conclusions regarding their professional path. With these,
understanding and planning what Track and Strands to take up and choosing their curriculum exits before
leaving Junior High School is one great start.

For this school year, San Martin National High School conducted Career Guidance Day Celebration
2023 with the theme “Career Guidance: Making Sound and Informed Career Choices”, last January 23, 2023 at
San Martin National High School, Multipurpose Hall, San Martin, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur. Mr. Ariel H.
Jabonero, SMNHS School head together with Mrs. Daisy Jane A. Lampadio as Career Guidance Advocate
spearheaded the program, respectively.

The first part of the program was hosted by Mrs. Irish Napila and Mrs. Noah Julie Tino and it started at
9:00am due to unexpected power interruption. After the Singing of the National Anthem and a Prayer via
multimedia presentation, the opening of the programs was warmed and graced by the SMNHS School Head,
Mr. Ariel H. Jabonero where, he sincerely encouraged the students not to be determined in reaching their career
goals. Mrs. Daisy Jane A. Lampadio shared the mere purpose of having the program and to also open the minds
of the students in understanding the background and details of Senior High School Curriculum.

After unlocking the minds of the students on what to expect on the Career Guidance Day Celebration,
Mr. Gymael Cale then introduced the speaker, Mr. Victor G. Lampadio, a licensed Engineer and Teacher of San
Jose National High School, Senior High School Department. The talk fed the curiosity of the students along
with the parents relevance to the background and details of Senior High School. He presented the background of
Senior High School and also emphasized the difference of Tracks and Strands and the details of every terms. He
also presented the recommended Tracks to take to every college courses they wish to enroll in the future.

Mrs. Manilyn Jaum shared how she overcome obstacles to achieve her goals as part of her motivational
speech to parents and students. And to end the first part of the program, Evangeline Belano, the GPTA President
gave her closing remarks where she addressed her message to the parents to always be the main support system
of their children in reaching their dreams.

The second part of the program started at 1:00 PM. Mr. Gymael Cale and Ms. Joy Cabrera were the
masters of ceremony. The events were (1) Parade of Future Professionals and (2) Career Portrayal. The awardee
of Best in Professional Attire for Male and Female Category were chosen during the Parade of Future
Professionals where students were given the spotlight to showcase their future selves. There were six (6) Males
and (6) females awarded wearing the Best in Professional Attire. On the second event, Best Career Portrayal
was awarded to the best group of Professionals who acted best relevant to their chosen career. Awarding of
Certificates to winners then followed. Lastly, the program was then officially closed by Mrs. Daisy Jane A.
Lampadio, career guidance advocate.

The program ended successfully and carried out all the expected goals and objectives where: (a)
students and parents were informed on the guidelines set by the DepEd on the Senior High School, K-12
Program; and (b) emphasized the significance of selecting a course that matches their interests and skills.
