 Conduct a thorough site survey to identify potential hazards and obstacles.

 Ensure the installation location is clear of obstructions and safe for work.
 Confirm the availability of all necessary materials and tools.

7.1.2 Review Documentation

 Review all relevant drawings, specifications, and the manufacturer's installation manual.
 Ensure all personnel are familiar with the installation process and safety requirements.

7.1.3 Material Inspection

 Inspect all materials and equipment to ensure they are free from damage and meet the
required specifications.
 Verify that all tools are in good working condition.

7.1.4 Safety Briefing

 Conduct a toolbox talk to brief all personnel on the SWMS, hazards, control measures, and
emergency procedures.
 Assign specific responsibilities to each team member.

7.2 Safety Precautions

7.2.1 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

 Ensure all personnel wear the required PPE at all times.

 Check PPE for any damage or defects before use.

7.2.2 Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)

 Implement Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures to isolate the power supply.

 Verify that the power supply is de-energized and locked out before starting work.

7.2.3 Work Area Safety

 Secure the work area with barriers and warning signs to prevent unauthorized access.
 Ensure adequate lighting and ventilation in the work area.

7.3 Installation

7.3.1 Mounting the Panel

 Mark the mounting points on the wall or floor as per the layout drawings.
 Drill holes and install anchor bolts.
 Use proper lifting techniques or mechanical aids to position the panel.
 Mount the Main Distribution Panel Board securely on the wall or floor.

7.3.2 Installing Cable Trays and Conduits

 Install cable trays and conduits from the MDP to the designated areas.
 Ensure proper support and alignment of trays and conduits.
 Use scaffolding or ladders with fall protection for elevated work.
 Secure tools and materials at height to prevent falling objects.

7.3.3 Cable Installation

 Pull power cables and control cables through the conduits and cable trays.
 Ensure cables are free from twists and kinks.
 Use cable ties to secure cables in the trays.
 De-energize circuits before handling cables.

7.3.4 Terminations

 Strip the insulation from the cable ends and crimp lugs or ferrules.
 Connect the cables to the appropriate terminals in the panel board as per the wiring
diagram.
 Ensure tight and secure connections.
 Use insulated tools and follow proper termination procedures.
