B7 Guidance Drawing

B7.1) The guidance drawings in Annex BSR-BS1-17 of this Section BS1

are indicative of the Employer’s general requirements. The provision
of these guidance drawings shall not relieve the Contractor’s
responsibilities and obligations under the Contractor.

B8 Modular Integrated Construction for Building Services Installation

B8.1) Modular Integrated Construction, Design for Manufacturing and

Assembly (DfMA) and Multi-trade Integrated Mechanical, Electrical
and Plumbing (MiMEP) with the use of BIM technology for Building
Services Installation including but not limited to the followings
should be adopted as far as practicable in the project to enhance the
productivity of Building Services installation works:-
a) Modular chiller plant pipework with support framework
Chiller plant pipeworks to be pre-assembled off-site in modular
sections and assembled on site.
b) Major horizontal BS ceiling/underfloor module
Horizontal BS ceiling module to be pre-fabricated by sections
and pre-assembled in workshop.
c) Vertical BS pipework and ductwork riser module with unistruct
and supporting accessories
Vertical riser pipe duct module to be pre-fabricated by sections
and pre-assembled in workshop.
d) Packaged pump set module
Packaged pump set /small-scale filtration plant to be pre-
assembled in workshop including the metal frame, base plate,
pump, motor, interconnecting pipe, valves, control wiring,
power supply panel and control panel.
e) Integrated air-handling units (AHU)
Integrated AHU/ PAU module (with built-in motor control
panel and chilled water piping & accessories) to be pre-
assembled in workshop
f) Panelised electrical module
Electrical panels module to be pre-assembled in workshop
including the metal frame, base plate, electrical panels, cable
containment and wiring.
g) Hose reel cabinet module
Hose reel cabinet module to be pre-assembled in workshop
including the cabinet, hose reel, breakglass unit, alarm bell,
pipeworks and valves.
