WEEK 3

This week is for the student’s quarter examination, our task for this week is checking and
recording students’ test papers. But our main role here is to administer the test exam to students,
some students are observed to come prepared in school, while others are having their quick
review inside the classroom. Two days are allotted for this quarter exam, from 7:30 in the
morning to 12:00 in the afternoon.
The students are observed to be sometimes hesitant in answering the exam. While we are
on the process of administering the examination, I observed that there is just a name of a teacher
who have prepared the exam which is advantaged to the class he/she is handling. I also asked my
teacher about this because there are lessons in the test exam which are not included in the test
questions, and so she responded that it is the discretion of the admin head. After the examination,
checking and recording follows. Also, we had a consultation with my cooperating teacher, I get
to understand my role as a teacher before, during, and after examination. As a teacher, during
exams, our foremost priority is to ensure that my students are well-prepared and confident in
their knowledge and abilities. We need to dedicate ample time and effort to provide
comprehensive review sessions, study guides, and additional resources to support their learning
journey.
During the exam period, we had to strive to create a conducive environment that fosters
concentration and minimizes anxiety. We also need to be vigilant in upholding the integrity of
the examination process, monitoring for any signs of academic dishonesty while maintaining a
sense of fairness and equity for all students.
As students navigate through the exams, we need to be readily available to address any
questions or concerns they may have, offering guidance and clarification whenever needed. I
understand the pressure they may feel and offer words of encouragement and reassurance to help
alleviate stress and boost their confidence.
After the exams, we also need to meticulously review and assess each student's
performance, providing constructive feedback that highlights their strengths and areas for
improvement. I believe in the importance of continuous growth and learning, and I am
committed to supporting my students in their academic journey every step of the way.

While scores matter in the grade of the students, I am happy that there are no students
who have failed in English subject. In conclusion, as a teacher, my role during exams is
multifaceted and deeply impactful. I am committed to supporting my students every step of the
way, from thorough preparation and guidance to maintaining a fair and supportive exam
environment. I understand the importance of providing both academic and emotional support
during this challenging time, and I am dedicated to fostering a positive learning experience for
all students. Through constructive feedback and encouragement, I aim to inspire growth,
confidence, and a lifelong love for learning in each of my students. Ultimately, my goal is to
empower them to succeed not only in exams but in all aspects of their academic and personal
lives.
