Usage Examples
Read the following text and underline the adverbs of time and prepositions of
time.
This week has been very busy for Jane. Yesterday, she had a meeting with her
boss at 9 AM. She worked on her project all day. Today, she has another
meeting in the morning. Jane will visit her friend later. Tomorrow, she plans to go
shopping in the afternoon. She always buys groceries on Saturdays. Jane often
goes for a walk in the evening, but she will rest today. She hopes to finish her
work soon so she can relax at home.
Reading Comprehension:
Instructions: Listen to the following recording and write down the adverbs of
time and prepositions of time you hear.
(Make sure to have an audio file recorded with the following script)
"Good morning! Let me tell you about my daily routine. Every morning, I wake
up at 6 AM. I usually eat breakfast at 7 AM. Yesterday, I had pancakes. I go to
work at 8 AM. Today, I have a meeting at 10 AM. I often have lunch at 1 PM.
Later, I will go to the gym. Tomorrow, I plan to visit my parents in the afternoon. I
always read a book before bed. I hope to finish my book soon."
