RE: INVITATION TO AN ICT TEACHERS’ HANDS ON WORKSHOP ON WEBSITE
DESIGNING, USING WORDPRESS AND EXPRESSION WEB SLATED FOR JULY
06TH 2024 AT KITARA SECONDARY SCHOOL, HOIMA CITY
A one-day skills sharing workshop on website designing, has been organized for teachers at Kitara
Secondary School, Hoima City. Teachers from Bunyoro Kitara region including Hoima city, Hoima
District, Kikuube, Kakumiro, Kagadi, Kibaale, Masindi, Buliisa, Kiryandongo plus other schools are
welcome to attend the workshop, in which digital skills and information will be shared to equip
the teachers to handle critical issues in website design as a topic and projects for pioneer S4
candidates having end of year cycle assessment this year 2024.
The workshop will cover

☞ HTML fundamentals
☞ Preparing a local development environment in the computer lab
☞ Recommended software, themes and plugins
☞ Working with WordPress to build websites
☞ Exporting the finished website for assessment
☞ Installing and Using Microsoft Expression Web to design websites

The Workshop Fee is only 50,000 per teacher, to cater for workshop materials, certificates,
Resourceful DVDs, meals and refreshments. The DVDs will contain vital software for Website
Design and Resources for Teaching website design and other sample ICT Exam Questions.
Resourceful External Hard Disks, Flash Disks, Website Design text books, new curriculum ICT
Books will be available for purchase. Teachers are encouraged to come with ICT aids like flash
disks, smartphones and or laptops to aid hands on practice and data sharing.
