I am willing to launch a product which is Basic Half Sleeve T-shirt. Now there can be questions
like how can consumers differentiate my product from products from other retail shops or
fashion houses.
Unique Aspects of My T-shirts:
1. Modest Print Size: The size of a design should be based on the properties of the fabric
used in the garment, true purpose of the shirt as well as the characteristics of the design
2. Font and Typography: Choosing appropriate font, Letter spacing, designing words in an
aesthetically pleasing way to grab the attention.
3. Focusing on Composition: Every design has elements that create relation with each
other which makes up the overall composition. Good design is all about composition.
4. High Quality Images: Images are 200 dpi or higher at full size. Up to 300 dpi. This
property is ideal all around the world.

1. Calm & Comfortable:

T-shirts are usually considered as more comfortable than other summer wears. People who feel
more heated in summer and want to wear something very open and soothing, T-shirt is the best
option for them.

2. Looking young:
There is a general perception that T-shirt suits best to the youngsters as compared to the ones
who are in middle or late age numbers. This does not mean one cannot wear if he is not a
youngster, but in fact, he can take the benefit of this self- proclaimed perception of the people
and make himself to look young by wearing a T- shirt.

3. T-shirts never go out of fashion:


Fashion for different sort of clothes keeps on changing every single day. One day there will be
the fashion of turtle necks and another day, denim jackets may have the high market. However,
it is the T-shirt which hardly ever goes out of fashion. Obviously, design, typograph and color
compositions do change from time to time, but the value of T-shirt never fades away.

4. Cost effective:

If someone wants to buy a dress shirt or even a suit, it is highly likely that he will have to pay
some good amount of money. But that's not the case with T-shirts, as they are way much
cheaper than the other garments. Cost effectiveness is the one of the core reason
which makes T-shirts priority choice of many people around the world regardless of their
age, gender or income.

5. No sweating or suffocation:

In severe summer conditions, other conventional outfits might become irritating to wear and
cause some sweating, however, this is where the T-shirts are perfect. No matter how much
harsh the weather is, T-shirt won't deceive anyone, it remains open & airy and also lets anyone
do their work comfortably.

Potential Market
I am initially focusing on the local market. For the promotion, I am giving emphasize on online
marketing, digital marketing in social media, customer referrals.
Supply Chain Management for T-shirt

 Raw Materials – Cotton


Cotton can be grown where land and labor are cheap. US cotton is still king. All US cotton is
tested and graded after harvest, giving consistency. Adequate amount of subsidies are also
required.

 Yarn
The cotton is turned into yarn in spinning factory. Cotton goes through carding, combing,
drawframe, roving and at last cone winding.

 Fabric
Yarn is made into fabric in two ways. One is by weaving and another is by knitting. For
making T-shirt, knitting process is performed. Almost 6 miles of yarn is required for a single
piece T-shirt. Then the fabric is washed and dyed.

 Assembly
Sewing is done by overlock, lock stitch machine. Quality is inspected during the process.

Manufacturing Strategy
T-shirts will be made in print on demand strategy. This one is the low risk way to make
products. The print on-demand industry is not showing any signs of slowing down. There’s
ongoing demand for unique products and customization options for today’s consumers.
Print-on-demand services allow any size business to provide personalized products at a fair
price.
Delivery Strategy
Delivery of desired product will be completed within 5-6 working days after placing order.
Delivery is be performed by courier, on demand parcel services.
Marketing Strategy
Digital marketing also called online marketing is the promotion of brands to connect with
potential customers using the internet and other forms of digital communication. This
includes not only social media, email, and web-based advertising, but also text and
multimedia messages as a marketing channel.
Website
I created an website to run this e-commerce business so that customer can place an order
of their desired product.
Social Medias like facebook, instagram, pinterest is being used to promote the website to a
wide variety of people.

I would like to introduce myself as an applicant for the Senior Merchandiser position at
NORLANKA. With my extensive work experience and formidable education as the foundation
for my skills and abilities, I believe I can be a valuable team player at NORLANKA, the latest
name in street wear.

At my previous position as Merchandiser of Cloud Fashion, I effectively managed to do


multitasking. I was responsible for analyzing tech pack received from buyer, checking L/C,
ensuring reliable sourcing, auditing time sheets, and handling employee and customer concerns
professionally. My biggest stage of formation was while running my own e-commerce fashion
store. I have come to know about whole supply chain management.

My ability to perform rests on the foundation of my education from Ahsanullah University of


Science and Technology. As a graduate from the Textile Engineering program, I understand
what it takes to perform merchandising responsibilities. My post graduate degree in Business
Administration enriched my knowledge in many aspects of business, including the financial
portion. However, my education and work experience are tied together by my ability to
empathize and communicate with others. I like to make people smile. It brings me great
pleasure when my team can make both buyers and manufacturers happy with their desired
outcomes.

I look forward to learning more about the company and its customers. I am positive that my
education, care for others, and work experience will allow me to succeed as Manager.

Subject: Meeting regarding proto sample

Dear Mr. Kim,

I am a merchandiser of NORLANKA. According to the tech pack provided by you, proto sample
as per the requirement was made yesterday.

I would like to meet with you so you can inspect the sample practically. It will also be helpful to
get an understanding about the budget as well as if the garment is ready to get converted into
fit sample.

So, I would be available to meet at 10 a.m. or 2 p.m. on any weekday next week. We can meet
at my office or yours, but please let me know if you prefer to meet elsewhere.
