The experience of online lectures that I had during the COVID-19 pandemic
was quite different from traditional lectures. During the early days of the
pandemic, I found it difficult to follow the learning process because I was not
used to the platforms used and the lack of social interaction with lecturers and
friends. However, over time, I got used to and discovered the advantages of
online lectures. One of the advantages of online lectures is the flexibility of
time and place. I can access course materials and do assignments anytime and
anywhere, as long as I'm connected to the internet. This is very helpful for me
who have to go through college while working. In addition, tuition fees are also
lower compared to traditional colleges. Even so, there were several obstacles
that I experienced in online lectures. First, the lack of social interaction with
lecturers and friends.

Even though I can communicate with them through the online platform, the
interaction is not as smooth as I expected. Second, there are difficulties in
following the learning process because there is no direct interaction with
lecturers and friends. However, with the cooperation of lecturers and friends, I
was able to overcome these obstacles. Overall, my online college experience is
quite different from traditional lectures. However, with the flexibility of time
and place and lower costs, I was able to overcome the constraints I
experienced and enjoy the learning process as well. studying online during the
COVID-19 pandemic was quite difficult for me. Before the pandemic, I always
attended lectures traditionally in class with direct interaction with lecturers
and friends.

However, after the pandemic, all lectures were held online through online
platforms. At the beginning of online lectures, I found it difficult to follow the
learning process. I have difficulty accessing course material and doing
assignments because I am not familiar with the platform used. In addition, I
also feel less comfortable with no direct interaction with lecturers and friends

However, online lectures also have some problems. I feel I can't study well
because of the lack of direct interaction with lecturers and friends in class. In
addition, I also find it difficult to follow the learning process because there is

these obstacles by communicating more intensely with lecturers and friends.
Overall, the experience of online lectures during the COVID-19 pandemic was

good cooperation with lecturers and friends, I can overcome the obstacles I
experience and enjoy the learning process well. The advantage of studying

students can interact with lecturers and classmates online.
4. Access to materials: Students can access learning materials online through
this application.
5. Notifications: This application also provides a notification feature so
students can receive notifications about classes, assignments, exams, and
discussions.
6. Support: This application also provides technical support to assist students
and lecturers in using this application.
Online lecture applications are very beneficial for students and lecturers
because they can increase efficiency and effectiveness in the teaching and
learning process.

Online lectures have several drawbacks that need attention, including:

Difficulty in social interaction: Online lectures can make it difficult for

students to interact with lecturers and classmates directly. This can lead to a
lack of motivation and difficulty understanding the material.
Lack of technology support: Some students may have limited access to
technology or lack of experience in using technology, this can lead to
difficulties in taking online classes. Lack of facility support: Some students may
not have sufficient facilities to take online classes such as hardware or a stable
internet network.Lack of emotional support: Students may feel lonely or not
have the necessary emotional support while studying online. Lack of
opportunity to ask questions: In online classes, students may find it difficult to
ask questions and interact with lecturers directly, resulting in difficulty
understanding the material. Lack of self-evaluation: In online lectures, students
may find it difficult to self-evaluate, because there is no direct interaction with
the lecturer. Even though it has some drawbacks, online lectures can be an
effective alternative in the teaching and learning process if done well and with
sufficient support.
