PEACE

Is it a feeling or a concept?
Is it something to pray for when we think we have nothing left?
Could it be a place?
Could it be a mental state of mind?
Can it survive in all the chaos our minds create?
Where does it come from?
Where does it escapes to?
Or is it like a wind that we can not predict or hold onto?

You see, we'd like to find it

And we'd like to have it
But when our worries floods in, it becomes hard for us to reach out and grab it.
Sometimes it becomes impossible to kick this habit of worries and easily find ourselves
craving for this thing called PEACE

You see the problem is that

We have not truly define this thing called PEACE
And if we do not know what PEACE is, then it becomes impossible to find it.
PEACE is not an abstract thing that we can't explain
It is not a vapor that quickly fades away
PEACE is not a place and it is not a feeling
It is not unattainable and it is not fleeting
It is not a mental vacation
No! it is not a useless fixation
So now it can only be brought to full summation that PEACE is not a thing.

What then is PEACE

You see PEACE is a person who has come to make his home with us
He was sent through the womb so he could be close to us
He was sent to the cross so he could deliver us
Now his spirit can be fully alive in us
He has brought down the walls that kept us at a distance from him
No he is not indifferent to our human condition
So you see he, himself is our PEACE

It is a promise that he has kept and is still keeping

He said PEACE I leave with you and PEACE I am giving you
In this life there will always be trials and temptation, but we fight no more to find
PEACE of mind
Because all we have to do is to invite this person called PEACE

PEACE is a gift freely given

It is not an award for the reward of good
It is not meant to make sense or to be understood
PEACE is also for the brokenhearted
It is also for the weary
It is for the dissaponted and for the heavy hearts as well
It is for those who have burdens they can not carry
And for those enclosed in a storm only He can speak calm to. PEACE

It is the gospel he brings

That even when we were enslaved in our transgressions he sent the answer to reconcile
our separation
All with one motive and intention that we could be close to him
He is our saviour king
And he is here today with a gift for you and I
And that gift is PEACE
