ADMISSIONS TO INTEGRATED FIRST DEGREE (B.E., M.Sc., and B. Pharm.)

PROGRAMMES OFFERED AT PILANI, GOA & HYDERABAD CAMPUSES OF
BITS PILANI DURING THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2024-25

All candidates who have appeared in BITSAT-2024, please note the following procedure for
admissions to Integrated First Degree programmes offered at Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad campuses of
BITS Pilani.

In addition to applying for and appearing in BITSAT-2024, candidates seeking admission to BITS
have to also apply giving details of their Higher Secondary marks and preferences for different degree
programmes offered. The prescribed application form for admission, the detailed application
procedure and the final list of Degree programmes offered will be available on the BITS website.
Candidates have to fill their preferences with required application fee of Rs. 1000/- online
through BITS Admissions website https://www.bitsadmission.com/fdmain.aspx latest by July 3,
2024. The candidates are strongly advised to exercise their preferences after careful consideration. No
candidate at any time of the operation can change his/her preferences or refuse to slide up in his/her
order of preference from the closing of application process till the entire admission process is
completed. Please note that the preferences cannot be changed after the deadline. Hence, all the data
provided by the candidate in the application form with respect to the candidate's background,
academic performance, and order of preference for various degree programmes etc. must be filled with
due diligence latest by July 3, 2024.

For admission to all the Integrated First Degree programmes except B.Pharm., candidates should have
passed the 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central/State board or its equivalent
with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and should have adequate proficiency in English.

For admission to B.Pharm., candidates should have passed the 12th examination of 10+2 system from
a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or
Mathematics and have adequate proficiency in English.

Further, admissions to all First Degree Programmes, candidates should have obtained a minimum of
aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects (if he/she has taken
Mathematics in BITSAT) or a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology
subjects (if he/she has taken Biology in BITSAT) subjects in Higher Secondary examination, with at least
60% marks in each of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics / Biology.

Admission to BITS will be made purely on merit. The merit position of the candidate for admission will
be based on the score obtained by the candidate in the BITSAT-2024. See BITSAT-2024 brochure for
more details.

DISTINCTIVE FEATURES OF THE EDUCATIONAL STRUCTURE AT BITS AND SOME SPECIAL

PROVISIONS:

Option of Dual degree in Engineering for students admitted to M.Sc. Programmes at the Indian
Campuses of BITS Pilani: All students admitted to M.Sc. programmes will be given an opportunity to
work for one of the B.E. programmes along with their MSc prgrammes under the dual degree scheme,
based on their performance at the end of first year, separately in Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad campuses
of BITS Pilani. The Dual Degree scheme at BITS is quite popular, the details of which must be referred

online under Admissions Modality section of the website
https://www.bitsadmission.com/fdmain.aspx before filling the preference form.

Note: (1) There will be restriction on the availability of flexibility such as transfer and dual degree
allotment for students admitted to B. Pharm. programme with PCB input in BITSAT. Since all the first
degree programmes other than B. Pharm. programme requires PCM input, no transfer/dual degree
allotment is possible for candidates admitted with PCB input.

(2) The candidates have to fill only a single application form for seeking admission to different first
degree programmes offered at Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad campuses.

(3) If a PCM candidate is seeking admission to different first degree programmes (other than B.Pharm.)
offered at Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad campuses, he/she has to fill only a single application form, giving
the order of preferences to the programmes of interest. However, if the PCM candidate also wishes to
apply for B.Pharm. programme, he/she has to fill in a second form. A PCB candidate is eligible to apply
only for B.Pharm. programme and therefore can fill only a single application form.

(4) Candidates are advised to go through details related to admissions modality, which is available at

Direct admission of Board toppers: First rank students of all the central and state boards in India will
be given direct admission to the program of their choice at BITS, irrespective of their BITSAT-2021
score. While the first rank student in the PCM stream will be considered for admission to any of the
first degree programmes of his/her choice, the first rank holder of the PCB stream will be considered
for admission to only B. Pharm. programme. However, they should have obtained the minimum marks
in PCM/PCB subjects in the 12th examination, as described above. See the BITS website for more details

Admission under BITS-RMIT Higher Education Academy:

The BITS-RMIT Higher Education Academy is a ground-breaking partnership between two leading
universities in India and Australia.
All candidates who have appeared in BITSAT-2024 can also choose the BITS-RMIT Higher Education
Academy mode of admission. They can apply for admission to the following programs based on their
BITSAT-2024 score.
• B.E. Civil at BITS Pilani and Bachelor of Engineering (Civil and Infrastructure) (Honours) at RMIT,
Australia
• B.E. Mechanical at BITS Pilani and Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) (Honours) at RMIT,
Australia
• B.E. Electrical & Electronics at BITS Pilani and Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical Engineering)
(Honours) at RMIT, Australia
• B.E. Electronics & Communication at BITS Pilani and Bachelor of Engineering (Electronic and
Computer Systems Engineering) (Honours) at RMIT, Australia
• B.E. Computer Science at BITS Pilani and Bachelor of Engineering (Software Engineering)
(Honours) at RMIT, Australia.

The Academy provides students the chance to study at two globally recognized institutions and receive
two degrees to be awarded separately and simultaneously from both the universities, BITS Pilani and
RMIT Australia. For admission under BITS-RMIT Academy, candidates are required to apply separately
not only through the following Link: https://rmit.service-now.com/rmit-apply/ latest by 8.30 am (IST)
Wednesday July 10th 2024 but also through BITS Admission application portal by 3 July 2024 to BITS
application portal. Please note that your application must be submitted at both the portals before the
deadline set by the respective Universities given above.

Admission under BITS-UB (UBITS) 2+2 International Collaborative Programmes

BITS Pilani and the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York have partnered to offer an
exciting opportunity for students to pursue unique collaborative academic programmes at the
international level. Students can pursue a dual degree programme whereby they can obtain an
engineering degree from BITS Pilani and an engineering degree from the University at Buffalo (UB) upon
successful completion of the programme requirements.
