A Resolution of Thanks of the 3rd Annual Youth Council Meeting and Post Bible Month
Celebration Resolution
Resolution No. 5, s. 2022-2024

In light of the 3rd Annual Youth Council Meeting and Post Bible Month Celebration for the
Biennium 2022 – 2024, held at Wesley United Methodist Church, Brgy. Villamor, Esperanza,
Sultan Kudarat, on March 8, 2024 to March 10, 2024, the resolutions are as follows:

WHEREAS, a total of 52 delegates, comprised of 20 voting delegates and 32 non-voting

delegates from the Four (4) Districts in Mindanao Philippines Annual Conference of the United
Methodist Youth Fellowship in the Philippines (UMYFP), the youth arm of the United Methodist
Church, convened for a three-day Annual Youth Council Meeting and Post Bible Month
Celebration at Wesley United Methodist Church, Brgy. Villamor, Esperanza, Sultan Kudarat,

WHEREAS, the members of the Mindanao South West District (MSWD), under the District
supervision of DS Rev. Alex Pascua, with the Administrative Pastor, Ptr. Juliet Exiomo together
and Deaconess Darlyn Sanchez, Church Council headed by Lay Leader Gerry Capistrano and
Chairman - David Pascual Jr., hosted this momentous and historical event;

WHEREAS, the youth of the host Church and District Executive Committee was led by Justine
Clark Pascual as the Local President. Dr. John Mark Villanueva, Mr. and Mrs. Jeneffer Bautista,
and Mr. and Mrs. Gerry Capistrano made the stay of the delegates very worthwhile and
fulfilling; the cook of our delicious and healthy meals, Ma'am Corynth Joy Jaban, Rose Garcia,
Daisy Reyes, Mr. and Mrs. Nolie Dorero and Marcela Sales;

WHEREAS, the generosity of the MSWD UMYFP, Districts, Local Churches, and Wesley UMC for
providing the venue and ensuring a welcoming and heartfelt accommodation;

WHEREAS, anointed speakers and facilitators led the discourse, and the delegates were blessed
in return. These included Pastor Gladimei Labagan, for her devoted message to the youth
during the Opening Worship; to the MCD UMYFP for leading the congregation a heartfelt Praise
Singing, and to the Wesley UMC UMYFP for their devotion in singing the Message in Song
during the opening worship. Ptr. Rodrigo Buyao Jr. for leading the morning devotion. Mr. Nissi
James Perocillo for helping the delegates to have a deeper understanding of the Attributes of
being a Leader and Ptr. Juliet Exiomo, for delivering the Word of God during the Sunday
worship service;

WHEREAS, the judges in the Bible Quiz Competition, Sir Alvin Ray Garcia, DS Rev. Ramil
Sagandoy, Ptr. Rev. James Perocillo, Ptr. Gladimei Labagan for imparting their knowledge and
skills. Sir Christian Ayson, Dss. Gemma Labagan, HM Jezreel Tabago, as judge for Poster
Making Contest; ate Love Daroy-Gagno, Ptr. Rodrigo Buyao Jr., Ptr. Star Salayan in analyzing the
essay and poem written by the contestants for Essay and Poem Writing Contest; DS Alex
Pascua, Renz J Caducoy, Alvin Ray Garcia, Analita Flores, and Renante Rabanes for giving their
time as judge for the Fellowship of the Band.

WHEREAS, supportive youth coordinators in the person of Ptr. Gladimei Labagan for dedicating
her effort, presence, and time to the said meeting;

WHEREAS, the Council Meeting was convened by the dedicated, inspiring, and grace-filled
Annual Executive Committee, Biennium 2022-2024, headed by Razel Mariah Caducoy. Truly, the
presence of God and his divine providence were felt through their great leadership;

WHEREAS, the devoted and committed delegates who have represented their respective
districts and local churches played a significant part in the spiritual and lively atmosphere of the
3rd Annual Youth Council Meeting and Post Bible Month Celebration by contributing their
ideas, leadership, and vision to the organization;

WHEREAS, the delegates were blessed with the presence of the visitors, ate Melody Tioaquen,
ate Love Daroy-Gagno, ate Blessie Omega Daroy, Alvin Ray Garcia and Renz J Caducoy;

WHEREAS, the Mindanao Central District (MCD) for having the most number of delegates,
during the 3rd Annual Youth Council Meeting and Post Bible Month Celebration;

THEREFORE, this resolution aims to show our heartfelt appreciation for all their efforts and
dedication to making the event victorious. May our powerful God be praised for thy love, grace,
and provision that was generously given to us. As we experience God’s goodness in our journey
of mission, witness, and service, may our experience in the 3rd Annual Youth Council Meeting
and Post Bible Month Celebration move us to consistently pray, reflect, and act.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that a copy of this resolution be
furnished to the Council of Bishops, District Superintendents, Clergy, Deaconesses, members of
the UMYFP, and to all concerned through means available including the use of the social media.

APPROVED, during the 3rd Annual Youth Council Meeting and Post Bible Month Celebration
held at Wesley United Methodist Church, Brgy. Villamor, Esperanza, Sultan Kudarat this 10th
day of March 2024.
