instituted by the Construction Industry Development Council.
SJVN has been conferred with ‘Achievement Award for Creating Social Development & Impact’ and

These awards demonstrate SJVN’s commitment to driving positive change through innovative and
concrete CSR initiatives.

The government has set the target of producing 170 million tonnes of coal from
captive and commercial coal blocks in the country during the 2024-25 financial
year.
In FY24, captive and commercial coal blocks produced 147.12 million tonnes
(MT) of dry fuel, 26 per cent higher from 116 MT produced in FY23.
Out of the total output of 147.2 MT in FY24, power sector captive mines
produced around 121.3 MT, captive mines of the non-power sector produced 8.4
MT while commercial mines generated 17.5 MT of fuel.
The country’s coal import rose to 244.27 MT in the April-February period of FY24
from 227.93 MT in the year-ago period, according to data compiled by B2B e-
commerce company mjunction.

• After this GM title, she became the 84th Indian GM and 42nd woman from any country to hold

On 29th April 2024, Goldman Environmental Foundation announced the winners of the 35th
Goldman Environmental Prize(2024), which is also known as “Green Nobel Prize”.
• Alok Shukla, convenor of the Chhattisgarh Bachao Andolan and founding member of the
Hasdeo Aranya Bachao Sangharsh Samiti,won the 2024 Goldman Prize from Asia for his efforts
to save the forests of Hasdeo Aranya in Chhattisgarh.
• The 2024 award was presented to seven individuals committed to protecting their
communities and environment.

until 30 June 2025 (or till funds for DHIS are available), aiming to digitise patients’ health records
and integrate them with Ayushman Bharat Digital Health Account (ABHA ID).
• The scheme which was set to end on 30 June 2024, aims to boost adoption of digital
healthcare services and promote the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM).
• As part of the scheme, hospitals receive Rs 20 per patient for digitising health records and
linking them with ABHA IDs.
