CASED HOLE LOGGING

MULTI-FINGER (MF) CALIPER TOOL
The HTCC-MF (High Temperature Casing
Condition Multi Finger) tool has 60 high
resolution fingers which measures the internal
radii of the wellbore casing.
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Accurate measurements can be made in casing
sizes from 7 inches to 13-3/8 inches in diameter.
The MF uses a series of displacement sensors Maximum OD 135 mm (5-1/4”)
and a corresponding number of measurement Length 3.1m (10.1/4 ft)
fingers. When moving up the inner casing wall, the
radial displacement will be changed into an axial Weight 175 kg (385 lb)
displacement of the sensor, which is then processed,
coded, and transferred to surface system where the Max. Temperature 320°C (10 hrs) (608°F)
image of the casing will be obtained. The MF can be
Max. Pressure 35 MPa (5,075 psi)
used to detect casing deformation, bending, fractures,
holes, scale deposition and inner wall corrosion with Caliper Measurement
high accuracy.
Number of Fingers 60
APPLICATIONS
Measurement Range
Natural state casing condition logging of geothermal
wells from 7” to 13-3/8” OD Min 178mm (7”)

Max 346mm (13-5/8”)

FEATURES & BENEFITS
— Data from each finger is monitored independently Accuracy ± 1.14 mm (0.044”) ±0.05%
to provide accurate casing caliper measurements.
Resolution ± 0.14 mm (0.004”)
— An integral inclinometer denotes the high side and
well deviation. Data Acquistion
— Max, Min, and Average casing diameter curves 10 m/min (30 ft/min)
Logging Speed
— Real time interpretation
Power Requirements
— Operates in either e-line (SRO) or memory mode
(slickline) Input Voltage (DC)
— Natural state logging, well quenching not required
Input Current Required
— Detects internal casing wall issues
Dummy Drift OD 5-1/2”
— Digital signal processing eliminating errors,
calibration difficulties, and allows for in-situ
reprogramming of the tool
— Meets the statutory requirement to monitor well
integrity on a regular basis as required by New WINNER OF THE
Zealand’s “Code of Practice for Deep Geothermal
Wells”, NZS2403
— Provides a cost-effective assessment of well casing
condition
— Early warning of potential casing problems
