Pronoun
It’s taken from a Latin word PRONOMEN which means instead of in English.

It is a word which is used instead of a noun to avoid unnecessary repitition of a noun in a sentence.

1. Subject pronouns are used instead of subjective nouns.

2. Object Pronouns are used instead of objective nouns.


( Object is the receiver of an action.)

3. Reflexive pronouns:
 In reflexive pronouns actions reflect back to the subject.
 In reflexive pronouns subject and object are the same.

e.g: I hurt myself yesterday. e.g: She saw herself in the mirror.

 They are used instead of indefinte people, places, and things.

5. Demonstrative pronouns:
 They point out near or far singular or plural person, place, or thing.

This To point out a near singular person, place, or thing.

That To point out a far singular person, place, or thing.

Those To point out far plural people, places, or things.

These To point out near plural people, places, or things.

e.g: Those are all my Talk and Talk classmates. (Far Plural)

e.g: This is my pen and that is yours. (Both near and far)
