Ph. D. Admission 2024-25
Applications are invited for admission to Ph. D. programs in Civil Engineering, Computer
Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical
Engineering, English, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Physics and Chemistry.

Eligibility: Ph. D. – Master’s Degree (with minimum 55% marks or equivalent) and successful
clearance of Entrance Test.

The admission / selection process consists of the following steps which are explained
below

Examination will be on 27/07/2024, Saturday in offline mode.

APPLICATION PROCESS
Application Process
Interested applicants can visit to official page of SVKM NMIMS GLOBAL UNIVERSITY at
“www.svkm.ac.in” and can download Ph.D. Application form. Candidate should submit the
duly filled form along with duly filled form and Demand Draft Rs.1000/- in favor of SVKM
NMIMS GLOBAL UNIVERSITY payable at Dhule by hand to the Administrative Office,
SVKM NMIMS GLOBAL UNIVERSITY, Survey No. 499; Plot No. 1, Behind Gurudwara, Near
Mumbai-Agra Highway (Dhule 424001).

About the Entrance Examination

1. The first paper is common for candidates of all subjects and is of Research Methodology.
It has 50 questions of two marks each. Its duration will be 1 Hr. and timing will be 12:00
pm to 01:00 pm.
2. The second paper is also having 50 questions of two marks each and is of the respective
subject in which the candidate wishes to pursue Ph. D. Its duration is 1 Hr. and timing will
be 02:00 pm to 03:00 pm.
3. Both the question papers are of multiple-choice type and there is no negative marking.
4. Minimum passing marks in each paper are 50%.

Exemption from Entrance Examination:

The candidate who have qualified GATE/GPAT with valid score OR SET/NET/JRF
examinations of the apex bodies such as CSIR /UGC/ICAR /ICMR /DST/DBT or awarded with
International/National/State level Fellowships. Such exempted candidate should have to
appear for Personal Interview. If the exemption claim will be rejected, such candidate shall
have to appear for SNGU PET examination.

Interview
Candidates who will qualify the Entrance Examination and the candidate with the claim
of exemption will be intimated about the date and time of the Interview.
