Follow are few of the common NZ Student Visa Interview

Questions
1. Where did you study in India?
Mention the name of the college/institute and the city from where you completed your
undergraduate program.
2. Why did you choose New Zealand?
Start highlighting the benefits and advantages of studying at that particular
college/university in New Zealand and how it is going to benefit your future plans and
career.
3. Do you have any relatives or friends in NZ?
If you have any relatives, mention your relationship with them. If you have any
friends, mention how you know them and for how long. If you do not know anyone in
NZ, don't hesitate to mention.
4. Have you visited NZ earlier?
Based on your situation, answer Yes/No. If you have visited earlier, say yes and
provide a brief explanation of the nature of your visit, duration of stay, etc. The
Officer may ask additional questions.
5. Why did you choose that particular college/university?
Explain why you have applied for a specific college/university. Go through the
website of the college/university to understand the benefits of joining that
course/program and highlight the benefits when asked by the Officer.
6. Have you applied for any other college/university?
Answer Yes/No and provide a brief explanation to support your decision.
7. Where do you stay in India?
Mention the name of your city/town followed by the address, if required.
8. If your visa is approved, where will you be staying in NZ?
Mention the address as per the visa application form completed by you.
9. Tell me more about your course?
The Officer may ask questions pertaining to the course content, commencement and
end date, course fee, etc. Make sure you answer these questions with confidence.
10. Who will cover your course/program and travel expenses?
Whether your parents are covering your expenses or a bank through a student's loan,
you will need to submit the necessary documents (proof of sufficient funds) to support
your claim.
11. Are you planning to work in the NZ?
If your visa allows to work either on or off campus, mention your desire to work,
however, if your visa doesn't allow you to work in NZ, refrain from saying yes.
Instead, stress on your ties to your native country and mention your plans to come
back to India after the course/program is completed.
12. What does your father/mother do?
Mention their occupations. The officer may ask additional questions to check the
annual income, etc. to ensure your travel expenses are taken care of.
