Handling folding doors and swing doors

Foreword
Thank you for purchasing a Mitsubishi Fuso vehicle.
This document describes how to handle folding doors and swing doors.
Use the information described in this document, rather than the separate Owner’s Hand-
book, for handling folding doors and swing doors.

Folding door<Automatic type>*

<Folding door models>

1 Automatic
The door can be opened and closed using the
switch when the starter key is in the “ON” position.

1.1 To open the door

1. Press the door open/close switch to the “OPEN”
or “ON” side .
2. The door will be opened together with the
sounding buzzer.
At the same time warning lamp will turn on.
When the door is completely open the buzzer
turns off.
Also, warning lamp stays lit while the door is
open.

1.2 To close the door

1. Press the door open/close switch to the
“CLOSE” or “OFF” side .
2. The door will be closed together with the sound-
ing buzzer.
When the door is completely closed the buzzer
turns off and warning lamp turns off.

CAUTION
If the buzzer does not stop and the warning
lamp does no turn off even when the door is
closed, the door is not completely closed.
Reclose the door to make sure it is closed prop-
erly.

2 Manual
If the following cases, the door can be manually
opened and closed.
• The starter key is at “OFF” or “ACC” position.
• After 8 seconds since the door is closed with the
door open/close switch at the “ON” position of
the starter key.

2.1 From outside the bus

• While holding handle push in push button
and open the door. When the starter key is in the
“ON” position, the warning lamp will remain
lit while the door is open.
• Pull the handle to close the door.
• Lock the door using door lock key .

CAUTION
Do not lock the door when people are in the bus.

2.2 From inside the bus

• Hold lock lever handle and after releasing the
lock pull the door towards you. When the starter
key is in the “ON” position, the warning
lamp will remain lit while the door is open.
• Hold grip and push the door to close it.
Securely close the lock at the top of the door
and make sure that the door cannot be opened
when grip is pulled.

T76275 CAUTION
If the buzzer does not stop and the warning
lamp does not turn off even when the starter key
is in the “ON” position, the door is not com-
pletely closed. Reclose the door to make sure it
is closed properly.

NOTE:
When the starter key is in the “OFF” or “ACC” posi-
tions, the buzzer will not sound and the warning
lamp will not turn on even when the door is open.

Swing door<Automatic type>*

1 Automatic
Turn switch lever to “AUTOMATIC” before oper-
ating the door.
The door can be opened and closed with the switch
when starter switch is “ON” and parking lever is
T75075 pulled (Depending on the specification of your vehi-
cle).

1.1 To open the door

1. Continuously push door open/close switch to
“OPEN” side .
2. The door will open and the buzzer will sound. At
the same time warning lamp will turn on.
3. After the door has opened completely, remove
your hand from the switch. When the door is
completely open the buzzer turns off.
Also, warning lamp stays lit while the door is
open.

CAUTION
When the door is open, the door is closed by
returning the parking lever (Depending on the
specification of your vehicle).

1.2 To close the door

1. Continuously push door open/close switch to
“CLOSE” side .
2. The door will be closed together with the sound-
ing buzzer.
When the door is completely open the buzzer
turns off and warning lamp turns off.
3. After the door is completely closed, remove your
hand from the switch.

1.3 When the door does not open even when
the switch is pushed
• The buzzer continues to sound intermittently.
There is a problem with the automatic door sys-
tem. Turn the change lever to “MANUAL” and
then open the door. When the door is com-
pletely closed, have it inspected at the nearest
distributor or dealer. In addition, when a person
or object is caught in the door while it is opening
or closing the buzzer will continue to sound
intermittently and the door will stop. If the switch
is operated again the door will open and close.

CAUTION
The warning lamp will stay lit if the door is
not closed completely. The buzzer will also con-
tinue to sound. Close the door fully.

2 Manual
Turn the switch lever to “MANUAL” and then open
the door.

2.1 From outside the bus

• Pulling the handle , open the door backward.
When the starter key is in the “ON” position, the
warning lamp will remain lit while the door is
open.
• Holding the handle, close the door forward. If
the door is completely closed the buzzer will
stop and warning lamp will turn off.
• The door can be locked with the starter key .
When the lock button in the bus is pushed
toward the front of the bus when the door is
closed the door can be locked without using the
starter key. Be careful not to forget to remove
the starter key.

CAUTION
Do not lock the door when people are in the bus.

2.2 From inside the bus
• Turn inner handle and push the door while
opening it. When the starter key is in the “ON”
position, the warning lamp will remain lit
while the door is open.
• Hold the grip and pull it toward you to close
the door. If the door remains ajar, close once
again.
• The door can be locked by pushing the lock
lever toward the front of the bus.

CAUTION
When the starter key is in the “ON” position and
the buzzer does not stop sounding and the
warning lamp does not turn off, the door is not
completely closed. Close the door again to
make sure it is completely closed.

NOTE:
When the starter key is in the “OFF” or “ACC” posi-
tions, the buzzer will not sound and the warning
T77126 lamp will not turn on even when the door is open.
