Subject and Predicate:

🔘 subject = ပြုလုပ်သူ
🔘 the predicate = ပြုလုပ်သူ subject ကဘာလုပ်လဲဆိုတာပြတယ်။ Predicate က main verb
ကစတယ်။
🔘Example: The cat (subject) slept under the tree (predicate).
Action Verb:
🔘Definition: ပြေးတာ၊စာကျက်တာ၊စားတာစသဖြင့်action ပြုလုပ်တဲ့ verb။
🔘Example: The dog (subject) barked loudly (action verb).
Linking Verb:
🔘Definition: A verb that connects the subject to a subject complement.
🔘Example: She (subject) seems(linking verb) happy.
Helping Verb:
🔘Definition: main verb ကိုအထောက်အကူပြုပေးတာ။ အဖြည့်ခံသဘောမျ ိုး
🔘Example:The girl is studying ( helping verb+action verb)
Dependent Clause and Independent clause
🔘 Independent clause ကအဓိပ္ပာယ်ပြည့်စုံတဲစ့ ာကြောင်း။
🔘 Dependent Clause တစ်ဝက်တစ်ပျက်ရေးထားပြီးအဓိပ္ပာယ်မရှိတဲစ့ ာကြောင်း
Eg. She finished her homework.

Eg. After going to school

Complete Sentence:
🔘Definition: A sentence with a subject, verb, and a complete thought or idea.
🔘Example: The sun (subject) sets in the west (predicate).
Incomplete Sentence( fragment sentence ):
🔘 Definition: A sentence lacking a complete thought or missing essential elements( subject
and verb). Full stop or ? မပါလည်း incomplete sentence လို့ သတ်မှတ်။
🔘Example 1: Without her glasses (incomplete sentence).
🔘Example 2 : If I won the lottery ( although it has subject and verb, it lacks of complete
thought and idea. It is incomplete)

Compound Sentence and Coordinating Conjunction:

🔘Compound Sentence: consists of two independent clauses joined by a coordinating
🔘Example:I like coffee, but I don't like tea.
conjunction or a semicolon.

comma ကုပ်ပေးရတယ်။ ဒီမှာဆို ပထမ sentences က complete sentences ဖြစ် သလို ဒုတိယ
sentence ကလည်း subj verb ပါတဲ ့ complete sentences ဖြစ် လို့ comma ကုပ်ပေးရတယ်။

🔘 Coordinating Conjunctions:For, And, Nor, But, Or, Yet, So ( FANBOYS).
Complex Sentence and Subordinating Conjunction:
🔘Complex Sentence: contains an independent clause and one or more dependent clauses.
The dependent clause cannot stand alone as a complete sentence.
Example1: Although it was raining, they decided to go for a walk.( Subordinating conjunction
ပါတဲ ့ sentence ကိုရှေ့ထုတ်ရေးလို့ comma သုံး )
Example 2. They decided to go for a walk although it was raining. ( ဒီမှာကျတော့
subordinating conjunction ပါတဲ ့ sentence ကနောက်မှာမို့ comma မလို )
🔘 Subordinating Conjunctions:Although, Because, Since, When, While, Before, After, If,
Unless, etc.

End mark
🔘 Period (.) စာကြောင်းအဆုံးမှာထည့်တယ်။
🔘 question mark ? : မေးခွနး် စာကြောင်းတွေရဲ့အနောက်မှာသုံးတယ်။
🔘 exclamation mark ❗: အာမေဋိတ်စကားလုံးတွေနဲနောက့် မှာသုံးတယ်။
ဒီသုံးခု ကို end mark လို့ ခေါ်တယ်။end mark မပါတဲဝ
့ ါကျကို incomplete sentence
လို့ သတ်မှတ်တယ်

Quotation mark (" ... " )

🔘Dialogue တွေရေးရင်သုံးတယ်။
🔘poem, movie, song, stories တွေရဲ့title ကိုရေးရင် သုံးတယ်
Eg. She said, " she will come back to you".

🔘 Quotation mark ကို question ပါတဲ့ dialogue ‌တွေနဲသုံ့ းရင်သတိထားရမယ်

Eg. My favorite novel is "Gone with the Wind".

Eg 1. He angrily exclaimed, "Why did you have to curse during the meeting " ❓
Quotation ထဲက dialogue ကမေးခွ နး် ဆို ? ကိုပါ quotation အထဲထည့်ပေးရတယ်။
Eg 2. Do you believe he said "Jame stole the book"?
"Jame ကစာအုပ်တွေခို းသွားတာ"လို့ သူပြောတာနင်ယုံလား။
ဒီ sentenceကမေးခွ နး် ဝါကျတော့ဟတ ု ်ပါရဲ ့။ ဒါပေမဲ့ quotation ထဲက dialogue ကတော့ " Jame

Semicolon ( ; )
🔘To connect two sentences that are related idea.
Eg. I enjoy studying; it helps me gain new knowledge.
🔘comma သုံးပြီးခွဲထားတဲ့ itemတွေကိုမှ အုပ်စုအလိကု ်ထပ်ခဲွချင်ရင်သုံး
Eg. "The conference included participants from New York, United States; London, England;
and Paris, France."

Colon (:)
🔘To introduce a list of series after independent clauses.
Eg. I went to the store and bought some essentials: milk, eggs, bread, and cereal.

● Semicolon connects related sentences.

● Colon introduces more information.

🔘Before Coordinating Conjunctions (and, but, or, nor, for, so, yet) in a Compound Sentence
which connect independent clauses.
