Target audience:
Managers, labour inspectors, OSH professionals, auditors, trainers, representatives of
employers’ associations and trade unions.

Learning aims:
To help the learner to:
• understand the concept of VISION ZERO as a preventative strategy
• understand the 7 Golden Rules of VISION ZERO
• understand the organisational benefits of introducing a VISION ZERO strategy and
what actions need to be taken to implement it.

Learning outcomes:
The learner will be able to:
1. Explain the concept of VISION ZERO as a preventative strategy
2. Define the principles of each of the 7 Golden Rules
3. Identify where their organisation is currently in the journey towards VISION ZERO
4. Describe the benefits that adopting a VISION ZERO strategy could bring to their organisation
5. Define the actions required to implement the VISION ZERO strategy into their organisation
6. Identify the tools that are available to help them to implement VISION ZERO within their
organisation

Outcome of the session:


At the end-of-course learners will complete a personal action plan linked to each of the 7
Golden Rules. The plan enables learners to identify those actions that they will take back
into their organisation to enable them to improve safety leadership in their own sphere of
control.
