Statement of Purpose

Seeing companies like Apple, SpaceX, and Microsoft reach the highest levels of success
and dominate the international market inspired me to gain profound knowledge in the field of
technology and business. As the world revolves around businesses related to technology, being
engaged in these fields and building a career out of them will help me keep up with the world,
and this is what motivated me to pursue my undergraduate program in Information Technology.

During my HSC in 2022, I came to understand that I enjoy studying subjects like Finance and
Management. I had to study other subjects too, but I did not find them as interesting as these two.
However, with Information Communication and Technology added to my regular curriculum, I
discovered my new passion, which is coding. Although my curriculum introduced me to only the
basics of HTML and the C language, I found myself getting deeply involved in it. My new
discovery played a vital role in strengthening my decision to pursue higher education in IT.

Since my childhood, I have always engaged myself in various extracurricular activities. I began
learning singing at the age of 8 and have since focused on mastering Rabindra Sangeet.
Alongside this, I also pursued painting. My love for reading books not only enriched my
knowledge but also led me to win a prestigious book reading competition in both 2021 and 2023.
Additionally, I volunteered as an event planner and successfully organized several events.
Photography, one of my cherished hobbies, earned me third place in a photography competition
in 2018. Furthermore, I served as a scout member of the "Bangladesh Girls Guide Association"
from 2016 to 2021.

Throughout my academic life, I have participated in various activities that required strong
leadership and teamwork skills. I led my school’s team to a 3rd place win in a science fair
competition in 2016. During my school years, I was elected Class President twice and fulfilled
my duties effectively. Upon entering college, I was elected to the Student Council and once again
led my class. Additionally, I served as an Executive Committee member of the "Holy Cross
College English Language Club," where I contributed to organizing various workshops for
students. I also participated as a general member in the college's debate club and served as the
leader of my class's sports team. I actively participated in every cultural program held at my
college as a performer. Furthermore, I contributed to "Mother Teresa’s Home of Compassion"
and engaged in other charitable works. Despite being involved in numerous activities during my
college years, I managed to maintain my academic performance, as evidenced by receiving a
scholarship for my HSC in 2023.

When thinking about the future, I see myself as someone who has accomplished her
dreams of being a part of big companies like Meta and Google. This is what motivated me to
pursue my higher studies in abroad, especially in the USA. I have been doing my research on
what country to choose for my undergraduate program for so long and concluded that the USA
will be the best suit for me because studying there can expose me to a diverse range of
perspectives and experiences and most importantly, I will be facing challenges which will help
me to achieve personal gain. Also, the USA has a strong reputation for producing highly skilled
professionals in the field of business and IT. I come from a developing country and here we do
not have such advanced facilities in the technology sector. This is why I think that studying in the
USA will help me achieve my ultimate goals in life.

As I have a passion for IT, I was researching courses related to this field and found the best suit
for me which is a B.S in Information Technology. Although I had so many other options, I went
for information Technology because it has job flexibility and highly transferable skills that will
allow me to apply to any industry sector. Also by choosing it, I will be a part of an exciting and
challenging journey as information technology plays an essential role in the majority of
companies today as they need IS expertise to run their business effectively.

After finalizing my subject, I immediately started looking for universities. I found that Strayer
University in New Jersey could provide me with all the opportunities I would need to pursue my
career in Information Systems. I intend to pursue my bachelor's degree at Strayer University
because it will prepare me to face the global marketplace with its world class education.

I completely acknowledge the kind of challenges, dedication, and perseverance a bachelor's

degree calls for. Still, I believe that I have built myself the way where I will be fully motivated to
complete my bachelor's degree while contributing to the research at Strayer University.
