WHEREAS your attendance is necessary to answer to a charge u/s. 138 NI Act whereby the
cheque issued by you in favour of the complainant towards legally enforceable debt/liability
has been dishonoured.
You are hereby required to appear in person, with or without pleader,
before the court on _________________ at 10:00 A.M. Herein Fail not.
Accused can make an application for compounding of the offence at the first
and second hearing of the case and if such an application is made, compounding may be
allowed by the Court without imposing any costs on the accused.
AFFIXATION
In case the house of the accused is found to be locked, the process server is directed to affix a
copy of the summons at some conspicuous place at the house of the accused.
NOTE: In terms of judgment of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in Damodar S Prabhu
