ACKNOWLEDGMENT
I, the author of this portfolio wants to thank the following:
To The groupmates, for showing their cooperation from the very beginning of
this project until the end in order to attain the goal of the group. For giving their
hearts and efforts wholeheartedly regarding the project implementation. I am greatly
thankful to work with you as I learned something about everyone's characteristics.
To our Instructor, Ma'am Judy Valdez, for showcasing dedication at work and
professionalism especially during hard times. You are truly an inspiration to your
students and the community. It is my privileged to be your student as I got to learn
great things about the school and community in terms of issues, values, and other
related matters.
To the teachers of San Juan Day Care Center, who wholeheartedly accomodate
us from the very start of the immersion. For giving us an overview on what would be
the possible problems we encounter and methods we can use in delivering the
lessons to the learners.
To the students of San Juan Day Care Center, for offering their full attention
and participation in the lessons and activities we have given them. For honestly
telling what they feel and think directly to us to further enhance our skills and ability
in a teaching world.
To our Almighty God, who have been there ever since by my side. For
renewing my strength everday, for being my light in times of darkness, and being my
protector with all things I have been through, without Him, I would be lost and tired
in life.

FLAG SPEAKS
I am the flag of the Philippines, born with the sun and stars, baptized in blood and
tears, nourished by valor and love. I am the symbol of your sovereignty, the emblem
of your freedom and the glory of your spirit.
I can be no more than what you hope me to be, for I am your belief in yourself, in
what you make me to be, and have the courage to strive for. I am your yesterday's
dream, today's endeavor and tomorrow's vision.
I live in a challenging life, a life of passion and ambition, of pain and of joy. I have
known the ravages of war, the delights of peace, the ignominy of defeat and the
exultation of victory. I wave in triumph from my staff, when great joy filled the
nation and I drop at half-mast, when sorrows grip your heart.
As long as you, my people exist, shall I exist for I am your soul: wherever you go there
shall I go. As I flost above you, you see me as a bright gleam colors; my blue is firm
with faith and justice; my red is brilliant with daring and courage; and my white is
dazzling with its purity of ideals.
My sun reminds you to keep alive the burning torch of freedom, while my stars guide
you to steadfast solidarity. God may this be so forever and ever.
CITIZEN'S REPLY
Hail to the emblem of rare beauty and patriotic meaning the symbol of power the
glory and the honor to more than ninety million Filipinos.
And yet, though silent you speak to us of the past, of the great events of the great
people who made them. You have been stained with the smoke of battle, torn with
the shots and shells of strife, drenched with the blood of brave men and the tears of
suffering women.
You have led the band in the march across mountains and plains: you waved in the
highlands of Tirad Pass and Besang. You streamed in light over soldier's heads at the
Bataan and Corrigedor.
To us, you are more than a tri-colored piece bunting with its sun and stars.
To us you the living personification of the spirit of the land of our birth.
You link the travails of the past with the undertaking of the present and span of the
future in the desperate struggle of men long since dead with the peace and liberty for
future generations.

Dear Lord,
Thank you for the life you gave me and letting me experience all your
goodness and blessings. For giving me strength, positive mindset, and joyous family.
Thank you for all your goodness in my life. I admit that I am a sinner needing your
forgiveness for all the wrong things I do. I am sorry when sometimes I tend to forget
about especially when I am in the most happiest moment. I need your grace and
mercy everytime, Lord.
"In School, we are given a lesson before given a test. But in life, we are
given a test that teaches us lesson."
In school, there is this called, examination. It is usually given after several lessons
tackled for several months. This help the students to remember, review, and
recalibrate all the discussions they had to get high grades or mere passed the subject.
On the other hand, life is the exact opposite of school. We are being tested through
struggles, obstacles, or dilemmas wherever we are, whatever we do, regardless of our
age and status in life. However, these tests we face would eventually be beneficial, it
gives us lesson that will assist ourselves in turning from something beautiful into our
best version.
EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
"KNOWLEDGE BECOMES WORTHLESS IF THE BEHOLDER IS
ARROGANT"
We were born without knowledge and as we grow up we acquired and gain from
various experiences and environment. Learning is a lifetime process, we do not know
all things neither we face all experience. There will be multiple things we encounter,
we always must be ready and humble. Humbleness is what makes us high, and
proudness will put is down. Arrogance is not necessary in learning, humbleness is

INSIGHTS GAINED IN ALL PHASE
In my entire journey for this subject there was a lot of things that I realized
and understand. As I was reminiscing the concluded events, I became enlightened of
the things such as why do we really need to take this course when it is not belong in
the computation of the GWA (General weighted average). Then I realized, the things
we did including the cleaning program at BELS and the tutoring on the students
specially the fourth graders prepares us in this chosen profession. As a future
teacher, we must be prepared in all aspects of this profession, we must not only
develop the characters of our students but also the environment where we work.
Additionally, we must not only point in the lessons but rather learned from certain
things we discuss.
In terms of reporting, which I was grouped to the second group. There, I have
been aware of the things that we must do when we will be immersed outside the
campus. We must always wear smile, be approachable, and kind with people inside
the community. But the most important thing I realized is to accept the traditions
and culture of the community whether in terms of food, clothes, or communication.
Finally, during the immersion at San Juan, Day care center where I get to
teach first hand children. I realized that it was not easy to impart your knowledge for
you have to understand that everyone has different intellegence qoutient and every
learners has to learn something at the end of the day. There, I get to minimize my
other side of self that a learner should not see and maximize my skills in imparting
my knowledge without them feel boring. In the end, I am thankful that at the very
least, I get to be immersed of what a teacher should not do and must show.
