BUSINESS PLAN - SuSo

Section I
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

1 – Executive Summary

“The Big One” is about the strongest earthquake which is expected to hit Metro Manila in devastation. Scary for
most of us but life goes on in this Metro no matter what. This is where we stay and live our lives comfortably and
profitably.. so we have to learn how to adapt.

CONQFACADE (DADA, Aurelio Concepts?) along with architects, engineers and experts in the field came up
with a solution that would lessen the worry and let us live to the fullest.

We introduce the SuSo (Survival Sofa), an earthquake protection furniture that aims to protect two (2) individuals
inside capsule shell-like pod during and after an earthquake.

This product will be as affordable as buying a set of sofa and can be pre-ordered.

Industry Analysis

3 – Market Overview

Metro Manila residents in general will all be affected by this “The Big One” but we will be focusing on the condo residents
where shaking will be most felt. The frightening movement of the ground will be more intense in these buildings especially in
the upper floors. Old buildings will also be very dangerous when the earthquake hits.

4 – Relevant Market Size

There are 118,900 condo units in Metro Manila as of December 2018.

Feb 9, 2019 - Residential condo take-up remains strong. High inflation and rising interest rates did little to
dampen the take-up of residential condominium units in Metro Manila, which hit a historical high of 54,000 last
year. https://business.inquirer.net/264825/residential-condo-take-up-remains-strong

Section IV
Customer Analysis

5 – Target Customers

Professionals with salary range P30,000-P50,000 or the average employee.

6 – Customer Needs

In my 20-year-stay in Ortigas, natural disasters bring neighbors together. These moments is when I was able to ask
personally what they think about “The Big One”. I myself became anxious about bring my survival bag all the time. It
consists of 1 liter water, canned food, whistle, first aid kit, etc.. all heavy and strained my back so much. It’s debilitating and
the constant worry is not productive. The same with most of the people I know. Some didn’t care and just expect it to
happen when it happens.. but we can still improve this quality of life.

The product installed inside the room is a relief that anytime “The Big One” hits, we are so ready.

Section V
Competitive Analysis

7 – Competitors

(1) Bed-in-a-Box of the chinese inventor Wang Wenxi can withstand 65 tons of falling debris. Russian inventor Dahir
Insaat has created an anti-earthquake bed. Both not available yet.
(2) Survival capsule for tsunami is available in the market priced at $13,500 for a two-seater model.
8 – Competitive Advantage

Compared to the earthquake beds, Survival Sofa is smaller. Materials are minimized to the steel braces. Simple-framed but
strudy and complete with important emergency and sos features.

The Survival Capsule is improving on its marketing. Website also introduced this newsletter to keep prospective customers
updated on the development. This we can also adapt to get feedback locally. Given our target market are Filipinos and
condo dwellers in Metro Manila only. https://newatlas.com/survival-capsule-tsunami/32010/

Section VI
Marketing Plan

9 – Products and Services

The outer shell is made of Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic to protect

the interior with handle bars for easy rescue in case of ruins.
Oxygen tank inside is also provided which can be used as
needed. First Aid kit also properly packed in the upper
portion of the shell (everything goes with a written
instruction inside the shell so one can read it instantly).
SOS lighting signals the location of this shell.

Shape is sturdy enough to withstand shaking

while protecting persons inside the shell.

SuSo is the same concept as the actual “suso”,

a snail. It may be slow but basically it can allow the
person/s inside the shell to move slowly out the ruins
in cases of light-to-moderate building damage.

Food and water supply good for 3 days included.

Earthquake kit: helmet, body pads, whistle,
mobile phones, etc.
10 – Pricing

In comparison to the competitors, and given we do not have direct competion locally, the product must be as affordable as
buying a sofa or a month’s food for two persons.

P120 x 3 x 30 x 2 = P21,600 or 10,800 per person (haggle materials down to meet this pricing, if possible)

11 – Promotions

At this point, there are still no competitor so we can still demand premium pricing. We can introduce discount for the first 10
buyers.

12 – Distribution Plan

Business address will still be in Grand Emerald Tower (CONQFACADE Office). Get Manila number/ SIM card to use even
when in Cabanatuan. Apply how to get online transactions. Advance orders may also apply. Create a website where people
can purchase, see announcements for the next production schedules, and other promotions.
