A REPORT

STUDYING IN A LANGUAGE SCHOOL

INTRODUCCTION

The purpose of this report is to outline the benefits and the main issues that students can
find studying in the language school and to make suggestions for improvements.

TESTING AND REGISTRATION OF NEW STUDENTS

The Language School is highly demanded and it has a great amount of students each year in
a waiting list. However, the secretary’s office has become more effective by giving a specific
day and time to register and students do not usually complain about the long queues at
registration. The main benefit is that you can apply for a placement text and you can enroll
the perfect course for your knowledge.

THE CLASSES

In general, the majority of students assess teachers very highly especially in the last courses.
The main criticism could be the big amount of students per class that is usually too much for
a language class mainly when you have to practice the oral skills. Another issue to take into
account is the length of the classes, which lasts two hours and a quarter, and students do
not have a break that is completely necessary to disconnect for a while.

CERTIFICATION

The Language School provides you with the resources and the abilities to speak, read, listen
and write properly in English. However, it is considered that the certificate that students get
at the end of their studies is a really low certificate. I would suggest an exam in which you
can obtain either a B2 or a C1 depending on your mark, and the possibility to do an average
grade and not having to repeat the entire course only for a simple skill.

CONCLUSION

Overall, I would really recommend studying in the Language School because you are going to
learn how to deal with the language in any kind of situations, which is very satisfying, and if
the suggested changes are implemented, it will be a much better place to study.
