PROJECT SYNOPSIS

TITLE OF THE PROJECT- College Notification

PROJECT INTRODUCTION
In our modern age, practically everyone owns a smartphone and uses
some form of smartphone application. Technology has made many
tasks easier and is still constantly evolving to improve our lives.
A mobile application is proposed that uses message pop-ups to
continuously alert students about current happenings and upcoming
opportunities/events at the university. Currently, the students get
updated through the university's website, notice board, emails, various
social media sites etc. This is an inefficient way of delivering
important or time-sensitive messages as there is no way to ensure that
the message reaches all students in time as many students might not
have visited the website or opened the mail. Instead of maintaining
multiple methods to share information about all college-related news,
this application is used to manage them all in one place. With this
application, notices, and news can be accessed anytime, anywhere
with just one click from a smartphone.

EXISTING SYSTEM

As of now, notice boards, websites, emails, and social media sites are
various ways used to circulate information, notices, etc in colleges.
Many times students are not able to keep track of all these sources
resulting in them missing out on certain events. Usually, notices are
passed on to different WhatsApp groups or pasted on notice boards to
circulate information about an event in the college. Many students
miss these notices due to various reasons like not being a member of
the group in which the notice is shared, being unable to visit the
notice board, etc. Furthermore, many times the important notices and
messages in WhatsApp get overlooked because of many other
irrelevant and frequent messages in groups.

PROPOSED SYSTEM
The Aim is to design and develop an application through which
students can get notifications regarding any information, activities,
and various events related to the college anywhere, anytime. Users
will be notified instantly when authorized users add new events or
write informative posts. After receiving the notification, users can
view event details and read posts. Another critical function is that
one-of-a-kind users are given one-of-a-kind privileges. Authorized
persons such as university principals, HOD and faculty, and technical
and cultural organizations are allowed to add new events and create
informative posts. Students can only view events, announcements,
and posts. The students can view all the future events in a single place
making it easier to keep track of all the events going on in the college.
Existing frameworks use websites to post notifications or through
news platforms. This is a very long dialogue. The application
improves on this cycle by giving notifications to the students or
concerned staff and will act as a centralized platform for pushing
notifications for all events in a college. It saves time and effort by
connecting applications to the educational database of the college by
using the latest technologies to notify users about the important
notices being posted there. As a result, the planned application is
simpler, faster, more secure, and more user-friendly.

Scope:
1. This system is useful for accessing notice on android device.
2. It informs students about the activities and various events related to their
college.
3. Student does not meet to visit the notice board every time.
4. This system is also used in hospital and banking sector.

Modules

1. Admin module:

Admin is responsible for managing the app.

1. Login - With predefined Admin_Id and password

2. Add Student- Admin can add a Student with all details like name, contact
number, mail id, Password.
3. View Student- Admin can view the list of all the Student who are added.
4. View users- Admin can view the list of all the Users .

2. Student:

1. Register - Student can register and obtain credentials.

2. Login - Student can login their personal account using id and
password.
3. View Profile - customer can view his personal details.

4. Edit Profile - customer can edit their profile .

 CONCLUSION

This application provides an efficient way to keep everyone updated

about events in college and also makes it easier for faculty and
different societies of college to pass on notices to students about
different activities. In conclusion, the proposed app is a useful tool for
keeping users informed and connected with the institute. With this
app, users will be able to stay up to date on all the latest news, and
notices and keep track of all the events in a single place. It can help
students stay organized and be up to date on everything that's
happening on campus and can be a valuable resource for helping you
succeed in your studies.
