Exploring Environments and Habitats
What is environment?
"Environment is all around us. It includes
everything in nature, like plants, animals,
air, water, and the places where they
live."
 Lesson 1.1 Habitats
• Just like you have a home, animals and plants also have places where they live.
We call these places their "habitats.
 What is a habitat?
A habitat is like a cozy home for animals and plants. It
gives
them everything they need to live happily. Imagine
your
house, where you have your bed, food, water, toys, and
everything you need. That's like a habitat for you!
Plants habitat
• "Look at this plant! Its
habitat is a wall, in a pot. It
has everything it needs: light,
water, soil, and air."
• "Even though it's small, this
plant's habitat is perfect for it
to grow and be healthy."
Animal needs

• Animals need a shelter to rest, hide from predators.

• Animals need clean air to breathe to stay alive.
• Animals need water to drink to stay healthy and hydrated.
• Animals need to live in places where the climate (temperature
and weather) suits them.
Animals habitat
• Now, let's talk about the eagle!
Its habitat is around forests
and lakes."
• "In the forest, the eagle finds
food, trees to rest on, and
water to drink from the lake."
• "The eagle's habitat is big and
provides everything it needs to
live, like food, water, air, and a
home."
