Using UL Student Email Account

 When you register at the University of Limpopo, you will


be given a free student email address to which you will
receive all university email correspondence.

 It's important to read these emails because your


lecturer/instructors may want to remind you of upcoming
assignments or inform you of changes in test date,
among other things.

 It is recommended that you read your students' emails


on a regular basis.
Logging in to UL Student Email Account

 Open a web browser and go to this URL:

 www.ul.ac.za
 Click Student E-mail

 It is located underneath “QUICK LINKS – FOR STUDENTS?”

 You will be redirected to E-mail Account login page

 To access E-mail Account login page directly, use this

Key-in your Student


Number followed by
@ sign and the
1 domain name
“keyaka.ul.ac.za”.

2 Select Next Button

Enter your default
password, which
consists of the first two
letters of your surname
3 (in lowercase/small
letters), a dot, and your
ID/passport number
•••••••••• (without spaces).

4 Select Sign in Button

NOTE: By default, the password for logging in to UL student email account is


same as the password for logging in to the UL computers

N.B. After logging in, you’ll be required to setup your new password and also one
of the following options to keep your account more secure: Authentication
Phone, Authentication Email, or Security Question.

Click on the Next Button to add
additional information required by
the administrator to keep your
account more secure.

9. You’ll need to set-up at least 1 of the following options:


Authentication Phone, Authentication Email and Security
Questions. Click Set it up now to begin

10 Click on the Drop-Down Command


and select South Africa (+27) from
the list.

Click Next button until you see the message “Work anywhere with office
on web, desktop and mobile”, then click OK button

Select this option to Install Office 365 applications on your computer.

17. Click on the App Launcher to access Office 365 apps

18. Click on the Mail Command to access your emails.

19. Click on the Drop-Down Command, then choose English (South Africa).
20. Click on the Drop-Down Command, then choose (UCT+2:00) Harare,
Pretoria.
21. Select Save button

The setup is now complete. Now you can send and receive emails.

To expand the menu, click on More Command

New – used to start a new email

Sent Items – area that stores all e-mails that have been successfully delivered

Inbox – Contain all email sent to you.
