 Project quality plan

 Approved for construction drawing {AFC}.

 Inspection and test plan for concrete works {ITP}.

2‐ LOCATION:

 CELLAR CONSTRUCTION

3‐ WORK PROCEDURE :

The construction for the cellar will be in two stages :

A. Cellar foundation

METHOD STATEMENT

 Formwork

a‐ Formwork will be designed to suit structure shown in {AFC} drawing

b‐ Fabricated shutters will coat with mould releasing agent to facilitate easy release of it.

c‐ All formwork will be made from (18mm) marine waterproof plywood with suitable wooden
frames

d‐ Formwork will be sufficient tight to prevent leakage of cement slurry while concrete pouring.

e‐ All formwork will be adequate propped ,braced and tied in position to ensure that it keeps its
shape and position during pouring concrete.

f‐ All formworks (if it reuse) shall be cleaned ,repaired, and bond release agent applied immediately
after removing the formwork from the previous pouring location.

g‐ Formwork will remain in its place (after pouring) till the concrete has sufficient hardened to resist
damaged of removing the from (in this case minimum 2 days required).

h‐ Removing the formwork will be according to the project specification, and no formwork shall be
removed till the concrete had sufficient strength .

i‐ Perform inspections of formwork prior to concrete placement as per the approved ITP.

METHOD STATEMENT

 Re‐bars works

a‐ Only approved drawing and updated document shell be used for re‐bars.

b‐ Source of reinforcement steel shall be approved prior to use.

c‐ Reinforcement steel shaping will be at the site in accordance with specification and drawing
details .

d‐ Fixing of reinforcement steel will be assembled by using double 1.2mm binding wire and be
rigidly held in position by spacers , chair or hangers prevent displacement of rebar during
pouring concrete .

e‐ Dowels shall be provided at required location and dowels length will be as shown in {AFC}
drawing

f‐ Two layers of links shall provide on dowels to keep the dowels in its locations during pouring
concrete.

g‐ Clear cover to all reinforcement steel will be according to the specifications and {IFC} drawings
by using adequate PVC spacers.

METHOD STATEMENT

 Embedded items:

a‐ Inspections and necessary approvals shall be obtained before installation of

embedded items to confirm compliance with project specification and {AFC}
drawing.

b‐ Embedded items shall be installed and secured in their proper position

according to the {AFC} drawing before any concrete is placed.

c‐ Embedded items shall be positioned accurately and supported rigidly to

prevent displacement during concrete placement.

d‐ Embedded items shall be inspected during the inspection of formwork and

re‐bars and again just before placing the concrete .

METHOD STATEMENT

 Placing of concrete:

a‐ The concrete will supply as a dry mix by AL‐watanya batch plant

b‐ Providing potable water tanker truck with water quantity measurement equipment (counter).

c‐ Adding the water quantity and the admixture material dose to the dry mix will be according
to the specification of the mix design for each cubic meter.

d‐ Providing concrete pump truck to place the concrete in the forms safely and to avoid
segregation in concrete.

e‐ The concrete shall not be dropped from more than 1.5 meter height and the pouring should be
done in such sequence to avoid cold joint .

f‐ If the temperature of the reinforcement steel or formworks is more than (35 c) ,then concrete
shall not be placed till decrease the temperature of steel and form by spraying of potable
water.

g‐ Providing slump test and temperature measurement in field, the slump test to be taken prior
to admixture dosing at truck ,then again after dosing at point of discharge.

h‐ Concrete will be consolidated through using immersion vibration to avoid segregation

/honeycomb, holes around the reinforcement , embedded , in to corners of forms, and
elimination all air or stone pocket .

i‐ The concrete shall place in layer of 300‐400 mm thickness and each layer will consolidate by
vibratory and to make sure the concrete will be a homogenous mass with preceding layer.

j‐ Providing (9) cubes moulds for sampling concrete in order to determine the compressive
strength of concrete .

k‐ Sampling of concrete will be carried out by Nidaa QC.

l‐ Testing ,evolution and acceptance of concrete shall be done per project specification.

m‐ Request for inspection shall be submitted to ( company) 24 hours earlier from pouring
concrete.

METHOD STATEMENT

 Curing :

a‐ When the concrete start to be hard , the concrete surface shall be covered with
hessian cloth and polythene to keep the moisture, water curing will continue as
specification requirement.

b‐ The side forms (for walls) must be removed or released a er 24 hours in order to start
water curing for recent concrete.

c‐ The construction joints shall be cleaned from any spilled concrete and shall cover with
wet hessian.

 Construction joints :

a‐ Construction joints will be only where shown in the {AFC} drawing unless specification
approved by contractor.

b‐ Approved bonding agent (epoxy bond) will be applied on the construction joints .

c‐ The preparation of the construction joints will be according to the bonding agent
manufacture data.

 Testing , Evolution and Acceptance :

a‐ Testing ,evaluation and acceptance of concrete shall be monitored by company.
