A. Background
Reptiles are animals that have dry skin, covered with scales, have two
pairs of outer extremities equipped with fingers and end with claws. Reptiles do
not have many glands on their skin, glands in reptiles are found in the oral cavity.
Parapin glands on the roof of the mouth, lingual glands on the tongue, sub-lingual
glands (glands under the tongue) and labial glands (on the lips). In serpentes
there is a modification of the labial gland in the maxilla. The tongue on serpentes
is narrow and has deep notches which at the end acts as a sensory organ for
sensing odors, temperature and particles of matter in the air (Onchen, 2012).

B. Tujuan
Tujuan praktikum kali ini adalah untuk mengetahui morfologi dan
anatomi Kadal (Eutropis multifasciata).
