PATHOLOGY REPORT

BIOPSY SITE BREAST BIOPSY

CLINICAL DATA Breast swelling measuring 2 cm in diameter, mobile, non-tender and smooth in consistency.
No nipple discharge or retraction noted.

GROSS One fibrofatty tissue with a brown nodular lesion measuring 35 by 30by 22mm. Cut section
is white and firm measuring 25 by 20 by 8mm. Some processed @ two cassettes.

MICROSCOPIC Sections show breast tissue with a well circumscribed benign biphasic tumor composed of
proliferation of both glandular epithelial and fibrous stromal tissue. The stroma is pale and
mildly cellular. The ducts are compressed into slit like spaces and are lined by low cuboidal
epithelium with adjacent myoepithelial cells. There is no evidence of malignancy is seen.
DIAGNOSIS Breast biopsy: Fibroadenoma.
