Keeping a consistent tension in the bracelet is very important. Try to keep your piece lying flat and
keep an even tension for each row. If you don’t keep an even tension your piece will ruffle. In the
grand scheme of things, it’s ok if it ruffles just a tiny bit because when you actually wear the bracelet it
will lay flat. If, however, it ruffles a lot then your bracelet will not lay right when wearing it. It’s better
to use a loose tension and see a little bit of thread instead of a tight tension.

A Superduo bead is a special oval shaped bead that has two holes in it. I would highly suggest that
before beginning this project, you check both holes in your Superduo beads to make sure they are not
plugged. Nothing is worse than getting a good way into your project and finding a plugged hole. If you
do encounter a plugged hole, you can try to poke the hole open with a stiff straight pin or a Tulip Awl.

If you wish you can also use Gemduo Beads to make this bracelet. The gemduos make the bracelet too
wide for a wrap bracelet but looks great as a single bracelet. You would make the bracelet the exact
same way, just a shorter length. You will need to pay attention to the way you pick up your gemduos
as they have one side that is domed and one side that is flat. I demonstrated this bracelet during my
Must Know Monday video on Monday March 18th, 2019. Please see notes at the end of this pattern
about substitutions and sizing when using the gemduo beads.

I have written the pattern to include two colors of Superduo beads. You also have the option of using
only one color. Colors that are variegated are a great option when doing only 1 color.
This is NOT my original pattern. This is a project I made from a YouTube video many years ago. After
searching high and low for the video again, it was nowhere to be found. This pattern is simply my
interpretation of the project.

end with a Superduo.

This bracelet was designed as a wrap

bracelet, but it can also be made as a
single bracelet. First, you need to
figure out how many wraps you want
to do. Multiply the number of wraps
by the size of your bracelet then add
one inch for each wrap. For example,
I will be making a three-wrap
bracelet. I want to make it to fit a 7-
inch wrist. So (3) Wraps x (7) inch
wrist = 21 inches. (21) Inches + (3)
5. Thread on one (B) Superduo and six
wraps = 24 inches. So, I would need
24 inches of beadwork. (11/0) seed beads. Let these beads
fall. Go back down through the other
hole of the (B) just added.
***VERY IMPORTANT*** To save
yourself a lot of heartache, once
you’ve added all your beads double
check to make sure you have the
same (A)(8/0) repeating pattern. If
you start working down the middle
and see you’ve made a mistake you
will have to take the whole thing out
to fix the mistake.
