Subject: Report on the observations at our college’s canteen.

Dear Ma’am,

I hope this letter finds you well.

Recently, I had the opportunity to visit our college canteen and inquire about the
quality of raw materials used, the hygienic practices followed, the range of
dishes served, service provided and the pricing of the products from the people
working at the canteen and even from the owners as well.

In terms of getting the required information about the quality of raw materials
used, we specifically asked questions about Reji Uncle and the workers who
work in the canteen’s kitchen to prepare food. The quality of raw materials
being used at the canteen is one of the most important factors to consider. The
higher the purity of the raw materials, the better the quality of the food being
served at the canteen. After our questions, we concluded that the raw materials
that were being used at the canteen were imported from select suppliers
considering their reputation, quality systems and delivery capabilities. After the
conversation, we could just conclude that the best quality raw products were,
are and will always be the basis of all the food products being served at the
canteen of our college campus.

After that, we inquired about the various hygienic practices that were being
followed at our college canteen. We asked Reji Uncle’s wife. At our college
canteen, all cooking equipment is properly cleaned and sanitised before starting
any food preparation. Apart from that, they always use clean water to prepare
food. In addition to that raw meat and dairy items are kept in the fridge to keep
these items cold, to prevent bacteria from growing before you can consume
those food items. Also, the kitchen floor at the canteen is regularly cleaned to
keep the flies, ants and cockroaches away from coming in contact with the food
items. In conclusion, the canteen of our college campus truly believes in the
saying that ‘Clean hands are the best hands’.
The range of the dishes being served at our college canteen is diverse and
extensive, catering to different preferences and dietary requirements.

Regarding the service provided, I noticed that the staff at the college canteen is
very friendly and they are always ready to help you with anything that you
need. However, improvement could be made in terms of appointing more and
more people to work at the college canteen, as during the break it usually gets
too crowded and a lot of students have to wait in line for long to get their hands
on even a bottle of water.

The pricing of the products also seemed reasonable considering the quality of
the food and the portion of the sizes being offered.

In a lighter vein, the college canteen of our college campus offers a satisfactory
and excellent experience with the friendly staff and the wide array of dishes
being served at our canteen.

SUMMARY:

The report outlines various observations made at the canteen of our college
campus covering aspects such as the quality of raw materials used, the hygienic

It highlights how the quality of raw materials being used at the canteen was
imported from the best of suppliers and the quality wasn’t questionable at all.
Apart from that, it also draws our attention to the various hygienic practices
followed at our college canteen and how hygiene and sanitation is one of their
top-most priority. Also, the range of the dishes being served at our college
canteen encompasses a wide array of culinary items catering to different
preferences. The staff at our college canteen is really friendly, but due to the
extreme shortage of staff available at our canteen, the service of the canteen,
oftentimes, is questionable. Apart from that, the pricing of the products also
seems reasonable.

Thus overall, it offers a satisfactory experience with a few areas for

improvement.
