identify each picture using an action word.

again after hearing the story.

Reading Aloud by the Teacher
Plant a Seed
Pam plants a seed. First she cleans the pot. Second, she
puts the soil in the pot. Next, she digs a hole using a
trowel. Then, she put the seed in the hole and cover it with
soil. Lastly, she waters the seed.

Within English: Use common action words in retelling, conversations, etc.

In sequencing events it is important to use the words First,


Second, Next, Then and Lastly to easily identify the proper
sequence of the events in the story.
We can also use numbers in sequencing.
d. Enrichment Activities
Activity Instructions: Based on the story, the pupils will
arrange the sequence of events in Planting a seed by using
numbers 1,2,3,4,5

and

2. Group Activity
Before we start what should we keep in mind?
 We have to work quietly.
 Always listen to teacher
 We have to stay in our place when doing our
activity.
Now, students will be grouped into 4 groups. And for the
instruction each group will be given an activity that you
will have to be worked in group then teacher will check
your work.

Group 1- Identify the sequence of events using


numbers 1,2,3,4.

Group 2- Paste the picture in its proper order.

Group 3- Identify the sequence of events using the


words first, next, then and lastly

F. Generalization Sequencing a story refers to the ability to determine the first event,
the second event, third event and so on and so forth. The ability to
sequence events is a key component in determining reader’s
understanding of the given pictures and/or stories.
It is important for us to know the sequence so that we know what
to follow first till last.
