Materials: Abbreviations:
1. Yarns (primary color- blue, mc = magic circle
white and red) ch = chain
sc = single crochet (x-shaped)
2. Hook
ss = slip stitch
3. Scissors, needle.
inc = 2 sc in the next stitch
4. Stuffing material
dec = sc 2 stitches together
5. Eyes (12) = number of stitches you should
have at the end of the round/row
(…)*6 = repeat whatever is between
the brackets the number of times
stated
hdc = half double crochet
F.o. = fasten off

You can use any yarn and crochet hook. The final
size of the product will depend on the thickness of
your yarn and the size of the hook.

Attention! The SC must be x-shaped


Blue yarn
1: 6 sc in mc
2: (inc)*6 (12)
3: (sc, inc)*6 (18)
4: sc, inc, (2 sc, inc)*5, sc (24)
5: (3 sc, inc)*6 (30)
Next we change the color from the main one to white according to
the scheme
6: 30 sc (11 sc B, 2 sc W, 4 sc B, 2 sc W, 11 sc B)
7: 30 sc (10 sc B, 4 sc W, 2 sc B, 4 sc W, 10 sc B)
8: 4 sc B, (inc, sc)*3 B, 4 sc W, 2 sc B, 4 sc W, (sc, inc)*3 B, 4 sc B (36)
9-11: 36 sc (13 sc B, 10 sc W, 13 sc B) (3 rows)
12: (sc, dec)*12 (24) (10 sc B, 5 sc W, 9 sc B)

The SC must be x-shaped crochet the 1 row.
Blue yarn
Make 14 ch, start with the 2nd loop from the hook.
1: 12 sc, inc, 12 sc (26)
2: (inc, 12 sc)*2 (28)
3-5: 28 sc (3 rows)
6: (12 sc, dec)*2 (26)
Next we change the color from the main one to
white according to the scheme
7: 26 sc (5 sc B, 5 sc W, 16 sc B)
8: 26 sc (4 sc B, 7 sc W, 15 sc B)
9: (dec, 11 sc)*2 (24) (3 sc B, 7 sc W, 14 sc B)
10: 24 sc (4 sc B, 5 sc W, 15 sc B)
F.o. and leave a long tail for sew ( blue and white)
Stuff the body and sew to the head.
First white to white loops, and then blue to blue.

● If the red yarn coincides in thickness with the main one, then
simply embroider the beak by making 3-4 stitches between 9
and 10 rows (2 sc), photo 1
● For the plush penguin, I will crochet the beak using thin yarn.

Red yarn
Make 5 ch, start with the 2nd loop from the
hook.
1: sc, 2 hdc, ch, ss
F.o. and leave a long tail for sew

● Sew the beak between rows 9 and 10.

● If your red yarn is the same thickness as the main one, then
crochet legs No.1, if thinner then legs No.2.

Legs №1:

Red yarn
1: In mc: 3 sc, (hdc, sc)*3, 2 sc, ss
F.o. and leave a long tail for sew

Legs №2:

Red yarn
1: 6 sc in mc
2: (inc)*6 (12)
3: (sc, inc)*2, (hdc, inc)*2, (sc, inc)*2, ss (18)

Blue yarn
Make 8 ch, start with the 3rd loop
from the hook.
1: 3 hdc, 2 sc, inc, 2 sc, 3 hdc, 3 ch, ss
F.o. and leave a long tail fo sew.

● Sew the wings under the head, if desired, you can sew the wings to
the body so that they do not stick out. (photo 3)

You can add blush in different ways:
1. Apply dry makeup blush to the cheek area.
2. Embroider with pink yarn.
